I've gotten a bunch of CK2 DLC including the Legacy of Rome minispansion from GenocidicBunny, and Russian units from Pete as well as KotOR II Thanks!

No problem Due to a scheduling mistake by my manager, I happened to earn overtime (time and a half) for 8 hours this week Everyone on my friends list (it's a small list though) got a couple gifts.

Speaking of which - I got Titan's Quest from Lucky, thanks!

Got the Humble Bundle from someone. I was really excited to have a collection of Indie games but only two of them were games and the last one was a movie. Closure, however, is pretty cool, but it gets a little rage inducing after a while since the tiniest sliver of darkness can be fallen through.

Picked up KOTOR, FTL, and SimCity 4 on a steam sale last weekend. Also ordered the MGS HD collection, but that's still getting shipped, and the fact that we got six inches of snow yesterday and more tomorrow isn't helping.

I do.
Mostly because they're usually cheaper than downloads.

I prefer a physical copy of a game whenever possible, if the price is comparable to what's offered online. I'm nostalgic for that new game smell.

In my experience, downloads get more and better sales, and if you're buying games outside of sales, your wallet deserves a donut or something.

I used to love owning physical things, until I started having to move often and living in smaller places. I still don't want to get rid of my music collection of vinyls and CDs though... But I'm glad for the modern PC digital consumption mode...

I'm also more for the "hard copy" version, but since everything in the shelves is now bound to some online service...


More ontopic: Have been playing Street Fighter Alpha 2 in the last days (well...the GOG sale...).
Still a good game, but not as good as I remembered it.
Graphics are worse than the rose tinted glasses suggested, and some of the fighters with more profile are not in this version (like Honda or Blanca) .

I got AC3 for Christmas. It's aight. I love how they fixed the free running (isn't so ******** anymore) but I don't like what they did with the combat, which feels awkward and clunky now. The story is a bit silly though. I think I'm going to go out and buy Far Cry 3 tomorrow.
