The "I Got A New Game!" Thread

Gotten Tropico 4 about a few days ago when it was on the players choice vote.

Got Sleeping Dogs off steam flash sale last weekend. It doesn't look very unique but I like 3rd person action games with a narrative, maybe I'll review it once finished.

Bioshock shines nonetheless because it is absolutely brilliant.

Well, when you ignore how mind-numbingly dull the combat and gunplay is and gets by theh alf-way point.

No disrespect intended, but emulation isn't piracy.

I wouldn't say it is necessarily dull; I certainly had fun with it at first. I agree it does become dull towards the end of the game though. They definitely should have just ended Bioshock at about 2/3 of it's current length. There's even a convenient end-point there which they chose to ignore.

Any game in that style that goes more than 20 hours is stretching it imo. A lot of people do complain about fps/action/adventure style games that they aren't long enough but unless it has a lot of story to interact with (think LA Noire, Mass Effect series) or enough rpg/open world elements to it (GTA) I like the game to end about 15 hours in tops. That's part of why I'm enjoying Dead Space so much, it's about 3/4s done 8 hours in. It's just starting to get predictable and repetitive and it's about to come to conclusion. It's paced quite well.

Got Chivalry: Medieval Warfare and The Walking Dead.

Which Walking Dead game did you get? Was it the one with based on the show or the one based on the comic? If it's the comic one, what do you think of it? I have been playing it the past few days and I love it.

War Z (now called Infestation) was up for flash vote so I wouldn't be surprised if it got a daily at some point. It looked kinda cool since I am definitely on the zombie craze wave, but after reading some backstory I'm simply appalled that steam even allows it in their store. The developer has blatantly lied about the game repeatedly and abuses their customers. They also plagarized images and even their freakin tos. I don't think anyone should support a company that is basically out right scammers.

What's funnier is that the leader of their dev team is the same guy responsible for Big Rigs: Over The Road Racing.

He wasn't really responsible for Big Rigs, but he did work on it (or at least he worked on the engine they used and he claims he the credits in Big Rigs about him being a Lead Programmer was wrong).

What's funny about that? I'm not familiar with big rigs games. Is it terrible as well?

Edit meant to say not
