I've gotten Civ5, Minecraft and Amnesia this past week, which I'm hoping is enough to stop me buying more games for at least, ooh, a month. Which is when Football Manager 2011 comes out. How convenient.

If there is a game that claims it can scare me, I must rise to the challenge. I have been disappointed for ten years.
Just don't play it on your own late at night in a darkened room. Unless you really want to be scared.

Bought Civ 5. Was going to wait till Christmas, when it'll likely have been patched, but the temptation proved too strong.

Just mke sure to install the released patch ASAP.
Without it, the AI is incredibly derpy.
As Askia, myself and my three cities were in a life and death struggle with the Ottomans.
I'd just taken one of their seven cities, (giving me four and him six) but I had only two horsemen and a great general, with no extra iron or horses.
Suleiman, on the other hand, had plenty of iron and swordsmen.
Nonetheless, I approached his second largest city with my laughable attempt at a military.
And he offered me peace.
A peace treaty including, all his treasury, Iron, Pearls and Silk for 30 turns, open borders and all of his cities excluding his capital (so, 5 of them).
The patch is necessary.

It's on Steam, it auto-patches.
Anyway played it today, initial thoughts:
-Strategic view is sexy
-3D view is a bit messy looking
-City states are a fun addition
-New combat system is neat, but jebus the AI doesn't know how to play it
-I miss religion
-Why did they scrap civics?
Overall I think I like Civ 4 more, although Civ 5 does some cool things.

Anyway, got a new pc, so that means i can now get a whole lot more games! started off with L4D (1 & 2 - IT WAS A PACKAGE DEAL BABY), titan quest (which i have played already, and love) and red orchestra... looking forward to full graphics settings for once

i still have my kiddie games( simpark, simfarm, simsafari and simant)Today I got SimIsle in an original box for 5 bucks. I also got a bunch of little kiddie games I used to play.
but they don't work on my computer
My newest game would be a Medieval 2/ Empire total war package. Both great, but I still think Rome:TW is better.
