Looking for two subs for Modern Times, an industrial start that is a fair way into the game. One civ, Sweden I think, is being overrun by Tab's Austria. The other civ is the Danes, which has had ten or more AI turns and didn't have the best start, but so far remains unmolested. On the other continent, Ethiopia and Japan have been at war, but peace seems near at hand.
The guy who played for Celts left the game, because he has had periodical game crashes on his turn. So we are looking for another player to sub him. But it does not mean that the sub will also have the same CTDs when loading the save file.
Celts have awesome early UU, the pictish warrior, which so much suits for the tactics of "pillage and heal".
There are four religious biased civs in the game (Arabia, Maya, Celts and Byzantium). So the leader of celts will have to struggle for religious followers against religions of competitors.
At the moment Celts have been ruled by AI for 2 turns. You should give them a try
Onan, you made a right decision! Take care about your family. It's the most valuable in the human being's life.Onan, signing off. Time to focus on other things.
I will continue to try to play my GMR turns, but I'm always having crashes, so feel free to replace me when I hit that skip limit, or if I'm just slowing down any games--especially in the games with over 8 players, these seem to crash more regularly.
I have disabled all email notifications to the forums to help shift my focus, and thus will no longer be approving memberships for the CFC ISDG Team forum, either. There are others who've indicated they can take over this role, it just needs to be implemented.
I may check in from time to time, when I have a moment and the thought occurs.
Ps: mblum I sent an invite to you for the Danes in modern times, however don't try to join until GMR has booted Islandia...may not happen till his turn rolls around again. Perhaps E could let you know when that has happened.
mblum, I have left that game http://multiplayerrobot.com/Game#1945 because half of participants left the game (too frequent CTDs took place). But you can still join that game. It is in public view.I would be willing to sub for either or both of these games if the spots (Celts or Danes) are still open. Just send me a message with the invite.
I regret to have to announce that I will be surrendering in most of my GMR games. My position at work has been eliminated. Thankfully I have not been fired or laid off. My company has placed me in a new position. However, my new job will require me to travel about 2 to 3 times a month and be gone for periods of 3 to 4 days at a time. With this new scheduled I don't see how there is any way I can continue playing in the majority of my GMR games.
I will be surrendering in any game with a turn timer and any game with more than 4 players, unless it is a game where I am in control. I those cases I will make an announcement on the board and turn off the turn time.
Needless to say I am not happy with my new position. I have been applying for jobs both inside and outside the company. If I find something with a better scheduled then it is my hope to pick up more games again.
I am going to include a list of all the games I will be dropping hopefully some of you will decide to fill in for some of these games.
mblum is now back to being SilentConfusion. This post is to inform of my forum name change.
Had thought the account was irretrievable. Thanks to the civfanatics great staff for helping me. The accounts have been merged. I am still playing all of my GMR games, but my name in forums will have changed. Just a heads up to all the people I'm playing with.
but i remember your Steam ID is mblum. i used that to send the invitations.
