The inclusion of Tamar/Georgia is disappointing

It sets a bad precedent for what this forum can influence Firaxis to do.

As someone with a lot of experience with memes, let me assure you that this is not something you need to worry about. Tamar of Georgia, like all memes, was an isolated incident. Memes are the result of a collective zeitgeist that cannot be induced artificially. They are not made, they just happen.

This reeks of trolling, tbh.

Man I really don't get it. Is this opinion so unwelcome? Some of you are being really aggressive in your language and it's unwarranted.

I'm not sure what you want from us. A few of us responded to your argument. You didn't respond, except to complain that not enough people were agreeing with you. Were you expecting a thousand links and high fives or something?

I'm not saying it will arise as a concentrated deliberate effort but I would prefer if they did not really respond to memes. They rarely do anything about other regular feedback so it's a bit frustrating that this got their attention but not necessarily balance issues or something you know? But it's their game and if they enjoyed doing it then so be it

- the later important staples like Byzantium and Ottomans and others are included, the less time we have to play with them during the game's active period.

I find it odd people keep using Byzantium/Ottomans as examples - they actually both only joined the game in Civ 3 expansions. Babylon, Carthage, the Celts, and yes the Zulu have been 'staples' of the game series longer. That doesn't really mean anything (a lot of folks seem to be rooting against the Zulu's inclusion by this point).

I think I'd prefer the Ottomans not be included at all, if they are going back be as meh as their Civ 5 implementation. Civ 5 Byzantium was interesting though.
