in firefox, where i can enter a web adress manually (navigation bar?): how can i set it so that it automatically starts a google search when writing in a word and hitting enter?

Isn't there a box for that in the upper right corner? Ctrl-E takes you there, I think. (Been using Chrome for a while, so I'm not sure if it is so).

there is, but i'd prefer the other box due to habit.

It should already do that automatically.

nope, something called facemoods wrote itself in there and stayed after being de-installed.

Like, whenever you search something in the bar, it redirects to that site?

to the left of your toolbar (the blank search space) there is an icon stating which search engine you use, just click on the icon and it should show all different kinds of search engines. On the bottem of that list it says manage search engines.
