I remember reading about them in a book I really liked as a young lad and old (even in the'80's) one about a family of jaguars, the patriarch of them being wholly black.
I forget the name of the book exactly, though I read it to bits.
I've been thinking recently to change my user name (assuming the mods allow me to). Should I? (if anything it would be changed to: Rvrtranz- which is what I use for everything else..)
Isn't Scotland still part of the UK? I dunno if that has something to do with it. And I think some countries don't have national anthems for whatever reasons, including bureaucratic red tape, lack of agreement on a choice, and so forth.
Scotland is still an inextricable part of the UK. England has a couple of national songs, such as Land of Hope and Glory, but we don't really have national anthems for our sub-national units.
Well, I know that there is ongoing debate in the Scottish parliament about officially declaring a national anthem. Candidates are Flower of Scotland, land of hope and glory and other songs, but I was more interested in why they didn't have one. Did they give up on their anthem when they were incorporated in the UK?
