Due to the nature of espionage bonuses and the obscene amount of ESP EXP awarded this turn, I will be awarding a stimulus to the weakest of the espionage powers to keep things from becoming too unbalanced. The 20% defense against theft now counts for all things.

On the flipside, all agents present in a nation can be killed. Thus, replenish your pool regularly.

Nobody needs to bother answering empty threats; it's impossible for anyone to tell who stole what.

The Papal States doesn't care who tried to incite a revolt in our territory because it was a total, abysmal failure, the same with the failed attempt to "borrow" our technology. Furthermore we already know who did certain other things that do concern us and indeed we know even what some people intend to do which likewise concerns us ...

SR Multinational Announces "Transnational Governmental Organization" Statues

"Truthfully, we have grown far too influential to be considered a mere multinational NGO. We have an atomic program and we deal, honestly, with nations across the globe for security reasons. As such, the Somali government has granted us extra-legal rights to determine Somali foreign, economic, and military policy. Furthermore, the Somali government is slowly being incorporated into the greater corporate structure of SR Multinational.

As such, any espionage or military action taken against Somalia will be considered an act of war against SR Multinational and our vast corporate resources will be mobilized to deal with the hostility. Since SR Multinational is declaring it's legitimacy as a state through SR Somalia, we will participate in the United Nations. We will maintain neutrality best we can with our branch holders but we reserve the right to ignore the foreign and domestic demands of nations that haven't bought the corporate stock.

And in the end, isn't that what SR Multinational is? Aren't the branches really no more than stock that pays dividends in the form of security? Is Somalia worth the trouble of unpleasantness?

We don't think so."

GWAHAHAHAHA! Thought you could get away with stealing MY treasure from MY castle, did ya? Well, that's what ya get when you try to steal from the King of Awesome! A bloody nose!

Personally I'd think Tyo would be the one with the most ability to boast. He earned about 1200 or so worth of EXP points due to the crapload of spies sent against him. Fortunately I've capped how much EXP you can earn, and there'll be a stimulus to keep the less experienced nations from being too vastly outclassed, but good lord.

Update tomorrow morning; only random events to be done and the repositioning of newly-couped nations on the spreadsheet.

how about peacefully clientaged states? ergo states who's allegiance has been "acquired" via gold?

He appears to have not done them yes, which would not fit into the random events/repositioning of coup nations thing.

I am merely mentioning it to remind tan in case he has forgotten. Mostly because a certain east asian country that didn't just randomly switch over to me on the sly is subject to a papal pax-clientage offer and I would very much like to know if it has kissed the papal ring.

The general rule is that unless it's couped or there's a competitor, your bribe will work.

Its the "competitor" part I am thinking about AA ;)

Hot damn! 1200?

Thanks Sone! How did that fail anyways?

All well, looks like I can take a few bucks off my espionage tech funding.

Why would I suicidally throw agents into a mass theft mission and tell IT about it?

Lets see.

Stupidity
As a deliberate attempt to increase his espionage ability
A belief that you would succeed
Because you intended to forment chaos
Because it amuses you
Because you want to sow paranoia amongst people
Because you like stew
To cover other more subtle activities with a distraction
To incite a chain of events towards a favoured end
Because random interventions are favoured by you

need I go on....?

If I liked to forment chaos, I would've detonated suitcase nukes in the Papal States, not waste resources on petty theft when I'm making hundreds a turn off mere sales.

Im just listing possibilities here son, mainly because I can :p
