The Multipolar World (MP)

I wouldn't have been late if my secret stats were more freely available to me.

Since this game has gone ******** over the past turn, I guess I'll just reveal some more Papal hypocrisy.

Spoiler :

Its only hypocritical if I was telling the truth ;)

I had suspicions thanks to personal contacts that Sam was "out of the IRA" with reference to some statement I missed on chat. Since I trusted said contact more than the suspiciously liberal sam I decided to play it safe and say the things I did, knowing that considering their nature they would eventually show itself to the light if Sam was an untrustworthy swine acting as double agent for one of individuals that had made themselves known as opponents of mine.

It has and now I know that Sam is (was if the game is ended) in league with you. Kudo's to the person who warned me of Venetian treachery, I now think slightly higher of you than previously.

-

PS: Just to illuminate you win the ways of logic, I point out that if I wanted China out of the IRA following what I said in the quote, I could of just kept quiet on Pakistan and let Christos go on with his planned invasion of Pakistan. However the actions do not match the words in the quote which to an astute observor would of indicated some sort of deception.

So you admit to manipulating an entire nation to satisfy your own needs. All right, well done - I'm sure you can keep your "moral high ground" masquerade going for a little bit longer, even though the only person who seems to be fooled by it is you.

Manipulation in and of itself is hardly immoral oh rabid communist dog of the steppes. It becomes immoral when the manipulation serves an end that is immoral. Since figuring out if Italy was working with you with an eye towards harming the papal states and its people (as the recent knowledge of attempted nukings would imply) is not immoral, your rabid and vitriolically anti-papal rantings are rather irrelevant

Edit:

All right, well done - I'm sure you can keep your "moral high ground" masquerade going for a little bit longer, even though the only person who seems to be fooled by it is you.

Thus says the person who threatened to nuke anyone who aided Russia against the illegitimate USSR rebels, and who possibly is part of the recently unveiled attempt to nuke the innocent citizens of the Papal States and destroy the irreplacable cultural heritage that the Papal States is custodian of

DT invading me is also part of a cunning plot. YOU FELL STRAIGHT INTO IT DT, I AM THE ALMIGHTY PUPPET MASTER.

All mine did was figure out if Sam was working with the dastardly Mongolans (and even then it only came out now due to the rumours of the game ending).

So I must congratulate you HJ on successfully luring DT into your snare (and making the preparations that would ensure your hasty conquest) and manipulating him into turning the era of multipolarity into a Brittanic unipolar moment.

On that note that reminds me of my earlier response to Thorvald's critique. It's not so much that Dem zerg rushed HJ, so much as HJ didn't bother building defenses OR a deterrent. Had HJ prepared about 80 or so soldiers and a few hundred navy and air forces, things would have gone much differently and the great GUNS imperium would not exist.

It almost seems intentional!

Which isn't doubtful since I've had players run their countries into the ground on purpose before so as to assist someone else's conquest. Tactical voting and whatnot. :p

Wow, it's almost as if nuclear deterrents weren't very good ones.

Silly Double A. In IOT, MAD holds no meaning, so brinkmanship is the first resort rather than the last. :p (Will be remedying this in MP2; I don't care if it's railroading I'm going to)

Also, a thought occurred: the Mexican revolt reduced the 501st's GDP by 75% despite losing only 1/2 of their land. Why is it okay for the synergy between industry and pop to work when it DECREASES GDP, but not when it INCREASES it? :p

Same goes for the USSR.

Though overall it highlights I should make incite riots just count as if the revolt risk just naturally triggered. Ah well!

Which just reinforces my point that total war in this game needs a revamp. However, the loss makes sense. Half his population revolted; the half takes control of half his industry and half his population after that half revolted. So he lost 75% of his pop and 50% of his industry. Or something like that.

Which is still unrealistic as hell and I was surprised when I saw how much it hurt him.

I might as well of had Nuclear deterrents, I always made out like I did (Might as well until I got invaded anyway :D). As for my army, it isn't even the smallest so don't act like I was pulling a Joan :p

Well, as I've noted, the mechanics in this game are very very favorable towards naval and air power, and it's something I'd need to address if/when I ever make a sequel. :p

501st is fighting a rebellion over 2-3 turns. Chile was completely friggin wiped out in a turn. The latter is more significant and on everyone's mind, while the former is just some random crap going on in the background to most of the world.

I was helping them to go after China, just so you know. I have no grudge against christos, but this time I seriously was tired of his logic. See Resolution 35.

@Tani- Suggestions for MP2- Stability, Stability, and Casi Belli. Did I mention Stability yet?

hmmm hmm, well giving messages like that to Mosher is not really the way to go about it if your so inclined to go after China. Indeed if you don't like China, there are presumably other ways to go about it than working with the rabid dog of the steppes.

This being because the rabid dog of the steppes, being a rather angry mongol (known for threatening to nuke people who aid legitimate governments against communist rebels) seems to have some sort of animus against the papal states to the point of engaging in aggressive actions against us.

He would've given them to anyone who asked, not just me. And a lot of people knew ;)
