The New Divine Intervention

OT - I played my first successful (so far) FFHII game! I'm about halfway through it - I love this mod.

It didn't take long until Bel became the leader of the island. The Corinthian's looked at him like he was a god (even if he actually was) and instantly made him their leader after Bel showed how superior his strength is compared to the rest of the inhabitants. Truly, these foolish and stupid people have no idea of the event's going on above their heads, so Bel told them about his 10 demons who we're unleashed to the world.

BEL: Do we have any data on the current whereabouts of the demons?
MAN: Our spies have told us that the first demon was defeated by a civilization called Persia
BEL: Persia? Perfect! Once he defeats those 10 demons, I will finally be free!

A skinny man then burst into the room, his eyes wide and his hair flying behind him

SKINNY MAN: My lord! We have discovered that the second demon has spawned in Persia!
BEL: Terrific! Darius shall kill it and I will be that much closer to getting set free!
MAN: But...what if he doesn't kill the demon?
BEL: Then the demon kills him! Muahahahaha!!!

Bel raised his right hand and waved it. His hand was then basked in a glowing light.

BEL: Now to reveal our location to this man
MAN: Why?
BEL: Because I can! Muahahahahaha!

Darius, meanwhile, was looking over the teaching of the new Settler being created. That was when one of his advisor's ran in, holding a large map

ADVISOR: Sire!!! We've...we've discovered a new island!
DARIUS: I didn't know the galley's could cross the ocean
ADVISOR: That's just it! This...this island just...appeared! It just appeared!

Bel's Quests (For Mosher):
Spoiler :
-Capture Corinth and defeat Bel (You probably cannot do that until much later. I tried spawning a unit next to the city and had them check Bel's power. His power is 100 so...it will be a while before you can capture the city )

-Kill the second demon (It's power level is about 5 in the forest vs. a warrior. It is also programmed to attack your city)

Changes (Not for Mosher)
Spoiler :
-Map now reveals Corinth

-Demon 2 (A Bear) has spawned in Persia. It's really quite strong but can be easily defeated with something other than a melee unit

-Corinth has more buildings

-Plot next to Corinth now has gold

Actually, I just realized now that the bear can probably take a city over on the next turn :D

Somebody might want to give Mosher an extra warrior or something

I guess this should count as my Sign Up then. I hope you guys don't mind what I did with it.

He awoke. The man got up and brushed himself off instinctively, and opened his eyes. There was a blinding white light, he cursed and shut them again. He was alive, at least, but what had happened? One moment he had been facing death, and the next he was...here. But just where was he? The man opened his eyes and looked around the blinding light was gone, but the man was standing in a frozen world. He took off his Bronze Helmet. This did not look like the city he was once in, this did not look like Athens.

The man looked at his hands, they glowed with a faint golden light. What had happened to him? Was he dead? No, he couldn't be. He felt too great, too powerful, to be dead. Then a rush of knowledge flowed through his mind, and the man knew what had happened, even if the why or how was still unclear. He had become a god, and whoever this regal looking man in the greyed and frozen world before him was, that man was apparently a worshiper of his. The god, without thought instinctively knew what to do, and like the snap of a finger, the world around unfroze. The Regal looking man was in shock at the golden figure before him,
"What God enters the Humble Court of Darius now?" The God smiled and put his Helmet on.
"I am Pericles, God of Resource and Wonder." Pericles stroked his beard, "I am not here to kill you, but to merely make my presence known. I have already begun crafting something to test you as leader of your people, a force in the east. Should you crush it before your rival, you shall reap great rewards." There was a Roar from outside the city, "It sounds like you may have a problem, before I take my leave, I shall give you one extra Warrior Corp for your army."And with that, Pericles left into the heavens once more, leaving only a shocked Darius.
-----------------------------------------
For Mosher
Spoiler :
Conquer the rising Barbarians in the East, do so and you shall recieve the wealth of whatever Resource I so choose to give you. Also you get one Extra Warrior because of the impeding threat.

NFME
Spoiler :
Added a Barb City titled Daicum. 7E 3N of Babylon.
Added a River Flowing around said city
Added Warriors to defend the city.
Added a Barb Settler in the City
Gave the City Culture

Yay, Krug is on board!

I just played a Civ4 game as Sitting Bull on some weird generator that had like a dozen customization options. I ended up in a map that was like archipelago, but the islands were connected and there were 3 "continents."

I ended up killing Khmer and England, but the remaining two civs (Germany and Greece) were so runaway so I just saved the game and quit. I am sad. :(

For the First post's sake, I'm
Pericles- God of Resources and Vagueness

Also, so long as RoC: DoC wins the poll in my thread, and nobody can decide on a Nation, I'll probably end up doing a Khmer Run, just so you know.

No, you can't do Khmer now. You need to do...

Wait for it...

Wait for itttt...

Wait... there isn't a more obscure civ than Khmer. Nevermind!

I could always screw with the Scenario and make the Byzantine, Celts, Natives, or Independents playable, now THAT would be Obscure. How many RFC Independent runs do you see?

Byzantines would be interesting. Gauls would be boring. Independents? THAT would be something.

Got the save.

Olaf was furious. Somehow his people had vanished! The island was gone, his people scattered. He brought them together once again. "Will you return to the island I have made you again?"

"Yes" they replied.

"Its rich resources are enough to grow your numbers now. Soon you will be strong enough to wipe out all who stand before you!!!"

"I have given you even stronger weapons. Use them wisely."

Quest (Mosher can read this):
Spoiler :
Wipe out every Chaos soldier (Praets) and take their city as your own. The controller of the city of Chaos shall be favoured.

Changes (Not For Mosher's Eyes):
Spoiler :
Added a new island (my edits didn't show up for some reason) and some Praets. Some buildings and resources (and a river) added to make the island more of a prize. If Mosher completes the quest then he will have the island and Olaf will support him.

Not For Mosher
Spoiler :
You know that bears can’t enter culture tiles, right?

You might want to change the bear into something else.

"WHAT?! THE EMPEROR DEFIED ME?! HE SHALL PAY!!!!"
A minor god was learning about Esar's mood swings.
"BRING THE EMPEROR THIS MESSAGE!!!!"
-
Darius was observing the city of Babylon. Suddenly, a tablet of fire appeared in his residence's wall. The tablet read:
the burning tablet said:
DARIUS YOU HAVE DEFIED THE GOD OF TERRITORY AS A RESULT THERE WILL BE AN ISLAND TO THE SOUTH THE ISLAND OF THE FOUR THE FOUR CAN ONLY BE STOPPED BY ONE MAN YOU IF YOU DEFY ME AGAIN ONE OF THE FOUR SHALL APPEAR TO WREAK HAVOC
(punctuation was left out to mirror the endless rage)
Darius, afraid, hoped the god would forget.
Little did he know that gods can't forget.
--------------------------------------------------------

Spoiler QUEST :
The four are the horsemen of the apocalypse, according to the first version or the Bamberg apocalypse. It is your job to wage war against the one closest to your land. you can send FOUR UNITS of men max. If these fail, the offended one attacks with an extra force equal to yours minus cities (5 soldiers 3 cities for example would mean horseman + 2 extra units). Good luck. Don't defy the god again.

Spoiler NFME :
Added an island with the Bamberg apocalypse horsemen: Conquest (conquistador) War (keshik) Famine (Horse Archer) Death (Immortal). These versions are COMPLETELY NORMAL, as opposed to the one which attacks - along with respective cities (Conquest is nicely in the center, famine in a desert, death is locked up in a mountain range and war is on the coast. Also added enough horses to supply new Horsemen (a resource will go every time a new one is made).

A save Would be nice. :p

Also what was your quest again?

DT
Future-Gazing (nice war there)
