The next Roman flavor request-Legonarii Fulminata-bringing Rome into the age of Guns

first though, the Victory animation: should I do the Roman salute in the victory anim? Could be a bit contreversial since it is much more known as the Nazi salute.

Maybe just a standard "YAY!" victory?

Or something totally different... any suggestions?

interestinglly enough there are two portrayals of the roman hail, one is the "classic nzi" style, the other is more of a front, and to the side, more reminescent of how a president holds his hand when being inagurated...

I suggest you have him lift his gun up, and fire a shot into the air though, while yelling "Yeah!!!", or laughing, ya know, somthing along the standard lines, as it would be kind of werid seeing him using the Roman salute on his now dead enemy anyway...

how many things are you working on Dom? you never rest ^ ^

this project has been in the works for a while, worth the wait if it is up to par with the recent preview units in my never humble opinion :)

Well, basically, I started working on the Samurai Musketeer and then picked up the Cavalry and Meiji Rifleman... and then I volunteered for this too.

So the first three are done, now it's time to finish this. And after that, yes, I have other stuff planned, but there are no obligations persay. My time is my own.

And as I've said, it's relatively easy and fun to make the costumes and such. It is the much more time consuming to animate and make the storyboards.

And I haven't even touched animating the new units. I'm doing each one individually though in spite of the fact that I'm basically mass-producing the costumes.

Well, he's not necessarily saluting the enemy. But okay, sounds good. I'd have to have him put down the gun anyway if he was going to salute.

IIRC the Roman salute began with a thump to the chest, then the arm was extended, although rather more parallel to the ground than the "Heil" of the Bad Old Days.

I saw something just now that said the arm was kept at a 45 degree angle... *shrugs* Regardless, I've decided not to do that animation (meaning that action in the victory animation, not the victory animation itself).

first off, the "angle" fo the hail varried from time to time depending just where the person you were saluteing was...

-it also changed gradually through the ages, similer to how the british, and American salutes, while derived from the same practice are now slightlly differnt
