The "OMG! Look what happened in DoC!" Thread

They had pagan in the 1300s, but lost it by the time of the screen shot.

E: They hung in there while Mexico collapsed and until their respawn.

That was a liitle dissapointing... I planed to win space race by Indonesia. The key - start from 3000BC (so you can trade tech with nearbly civs from start), and have free spot for Trowulan (Hannoi?) from China culture. (regent/epic)

Did you know, what Jakarta is good production spot?

P.S. Didnt find topic about Indonesia, there was debate, how power it could be, so posted here
P.S. The battle for Trowulan with China was epic. 14 musketeer and 10 bombard and 4 pistoliers was beaten by 3 riffleman general army with almost full city and hills defence and 3 drawft riffleman

I'm guessing they conquered an independent city in China and converted due to not having Catholicism in any of their remaining cities? It's so annoying how the AI will conquer independent cities literally halfway across the globe.

What was your city placement in core/how did you avoid overextension?

Independent Muslim Incas!

No idea how that happened. The Mongols were the first to discover the world was round, so maybe they got the conquerors, but collapsed before they took over much of the Incas, so they were able to retake their territory and remain stable? I don't recall the Mongols being Muslim in this game though, but maybe I was wrong. Either way, pretty interesting, and definitely something I've never seen before!

I've had this happen a couple of times but from my experience it's usually the result of Arabia getting the conquerors. Despite the New World lacking historical area for Islam it would spread rather quickly due to Arab UP.

Couple of screenshots from the last loong Babilonia game.
Mughals conquering the whole China, eventually getting Korea and Mongolia all while staying with "collapsing" stability. China eventually resurrected.

Maya stayed alive as a vassal up until early XX century. Glad to see that Colombia is now able to spawn with its own separate slot though.

One WarElethant can change history. Byzantin collapsed, Barrbarians took city, there was only 2 swordsman. And thanks to Citizenchip i could get Crossbowman quick for defend from horses. I was allways in contact with western civs (trade!!!), and Constantinopis is good city afterall. (my favorite)
