The "OMG! Look what happened!" Thread

I'm hoping this is actually pretty common, but in every 3000bc start where I'm not india or China, confuscism is founded by the greeks. Except for my latest game as japan, in which the chinese founded it, and where taoism was founded in babylon (which was since razed) and I founded christianity in Seoul!!! But seriously, confuscism and often christianity founded in greece, every time...

Eat it Germany

Huh? I'm confused. You're obviously playing the 600 AD scenario (the wheat is on Mediolanum's tile). How come you play as Romans? And why is it Verona instead of Venetia?

But Egypt is alive and is his vassal. And where's Bingerville?

I don't have a screenshot yet, but playing as the romans, going to UHV (which I got) I had to reload an autosave, back to the turn that the french showed up, and for some reason my french cities lost all their culture, but didn't flip, and i didn't end up at war with the french. So, for fun, I gave those cities to the English when they showed up, and my german cities to the spanish. When I did that The tile the french were sitting on was now in spanish territory, so they ended up building a city around the dutch spawning point, and wwere eventually destroyed by the germans (I think). because I had built the great wall, the spanish and germans (who are now at war) have a lot of flipped barbs with which to destory eachother. I won the UHV, but am going to keep playing and let it develop into the middle ages, and post a screenshot here.

I'm not sure Y Venetia gets renamed but to answer your first question yes it's a 600 A.D. game. I used world builder to place a roman settler then switched civs from Japan at the start. It killed my settler and gave me a catapult in the ice I then destroyed Rome and Venice and rebuild them Roman. (All this was because I felt like playing as Italy but with some other nations)

PS: I have respawning before nationalism Egypt is there in most games before 1500 A.D.

@Leoreth Totally unrelated, but your avatar is...? Slightly reminds me of this Yu-Gi-Oh! character.

Sokka from Avatar - The Last Airbender.

Sokka from Avatar - The Last Airbender.

I love that show :D. I wish they continued it. I can still watch reruns on Nicktoons. (Also I'm surprised someone from Germany has even heard of a Nick anime before.)

Yeah, it's absolutely awesome. But a sequel series is already in the making :)

And first, it's not an anime (as it's not from Japan), and of course we have our own branch of Nick here - the German localization of Avatar is very good, even.

That's weird alright. Carthaginians seem to be doing well, I've never seen them founding Onuba. Rome probably founded Christianity and celts conquered Bordeaux back from them, but howcome Rome isn't Rome's capital?

I have never seen Judaism founded in Jerusalem, or christianity in Rome. I see Christianity founded in Greece a lot, as well as Confuscism, and China often founds Judaism.

I was playing as Babylon going for the UHV the first time, and it happened once more playing as India I think, I can't remember now, so not that often, but still.

I was close to posting this as well, but after a doubletake I wasn't sure if Celtics count too.

My first OMG worthy of posting in this thread: On an American spawn, I am weaker than the Mali and Inca who are French vassals. And both Spain and England are French vassals too. Ethiopia re-spawned and collapsed again, and India re-spawned the same turn that I started. 600 CE, and France a superpower.

Luckily, I got a defensive pact with them.

...Aaand then 2 turns later there is war from flip. O.O Though I got a great merchant.

OK, I am playing RFC Dawn of Civilization as Vikings, so I figured I was gonna found my capital at Copenhagen, I also founded Helsinki, Hammerfest and later Sundsval. So just now I was about to leave the capital via sea to go settle Iceland, but then the dutch just HAD to appear at the worst possible moment (they spawn in 1500 in DoC). Thing is, I have no idea why but they start at war with me for no apparent reason. The AI however, somehow defies logic and simply refuses to found Amsterdam on the spot (maybe as a result of the humongous culture from Copenhagen and Paris it figures it doesnt wanna be sandwiched in between) so they just sit there and move about a bit for like 3 turns. THEN the cultural borders invade what was to be netherlands once again and since im guessing the dutch don't have open borders with france they will just get kicked off.... but here comes the plot twist: earlier I had pawned england and burnt everything to the ground, I also drove germany to collapse. SOMEHOW, the dutch get kicked off the european mainland and guess where they end up? They founded their freakin' CAPITAL on top of london's ruins, now I can probably expect them to collapse somewhere along the line and an england respawn is not too far-fetched. Although it does kinda make sense in a what-if way, if france and vikings are strong in the area and well, england is freaking EMPTY the dutch might as well flee there. Ok, so now the screenies.
