French ambassador: You shall regret this.

*19 minutes later*

that's scripted into the game if no-one discovers it in a reasonable time

hmm.. you're medieval, so, did you Oracle Machinery? You also haven't settled any of your victory area, are you not going to UHV?

Good to know - next time I'm going to burn those Celtic towns (I want to build the mega-city Tours after destroying the French). :)

Yup, Oracle was the very first thing I built in Rome. I'm not going for the UHV 'cause I'm in the middle of my exam session so I don't really wan't to stress myself with careful planning. I just want to enjoy the game taking small baby-steps at a time to conquer the world. :)

I'm curious, what mod-mod is that? I see some units that shouldn't be there or I don't recognize at all

 That's my computer's twisted mind (or a buggy mod). I'm using the graphics mod-pack (varietas delectat) that should give each civ' it's unique appearance but my computer shows it right only for 10 seconds or so. After that it gives the units some random look.:crazyeye: It's quite amusing.

I'm not sure which is more amazing: the fact that I got credit for one of my vassals capturing a city, the fact that it happened twice in one game (so far), or the fact that I wasn't even given the option to raze when it happened the second time...

Any idea what causes this?

Happens all the time to me. I think there are two possible explanations.

1. your vassal's conquests are given to you if you're closer to it. for example: I was Babylon, and had vassalized the Turks, they captured a city around Sinai, and it was automatically given to me

2. If your vassal conquers a city in your UHV area, it automatically goes to you, which is probably what happened there to you.

Likely both, but for actual confirmation, wait for someone who knows about the programming to answer.

It is the same option that you get when conquering a city with your vassal's culture, you can immeatidely liberate it to your vassal. The vassalised AI sometimes gives these cities to you, if your culture is present, or if they are give the option to do so for some other reason (culture isn't the only one). I assume that stability maps influence AI's probability to give over the city as well.

YO DAWG

I herd you like razing cities, so we put some instability in yo empire...

:D

Wow. That's possibly the worst stab score I've ever seen. Did you do that on purpose?

No. However, I did manage this on purpose...

YO DAWG

I herd u used Worldbuilder to raze every city on the map in one turn...

What's really amazing is that on the next turn, I didn't suffer any secessions or anything.

Seriously, though, for the -66 score, the Arabs kept DOWing on me, so eventually I just rolled through and took a bunch of their cities... but the Ottomans didn't want them (?!?), so I had to raze them.

Next time, I'll just let the Ottomans do the fighting for me.
