I bet everyone is wondering what the song is.

The song is An Nada Nada, originally sung by a famous Lebanese singer named Sabah. This song is actually about a girl named Nada who is loved. I believe that the man singing it in the game is Shawkat Sayad ( i got that from the lyrics). This song is a classic in Lebanon and it is really beautiful.

If you want to hear a clip from Sabah singing it go to the following link:

So many threads like this... Personally i hate both the music themes. Civ3 was best as it didnt have a 'Capture 6000 years of mankind in a song' song.

I hear ya! You ever hear the opening to Civ3 Complete? now thats epic son.:D
What cool is the same guy who programed the game took pride in creating the music aswell . Think of the money they saved with this far reaching talent on staff. It was enough to contract out Pro US militery war sims consultants and lead designers from Breakaway Games to make the game so dam good we forget all about the need to boast about them silly theme songs ;)

still, that tune is catchy :) much more then the original take anyway

Anyone ever notice that in certain ages if you click on Mao's diplomacy screen you will still sometimes here the tune from Civ II?
