A move by the judicial branch has seemed to bring to light a serious scandal, according to which the statistics for the Greek debt were deliberately enlarged by Papandreou and his officials (the leading greek statistic official who appears to have done the calculation for the Greek government is also a member of the IMF...) so that Greece would be forced to the IMF, with the current pathetic results (and as a possible end-game the leasing of the natural wealth of the country, gold, natural gas, oil etc).

Article in Greek (use google translator) here:

One of the puppets, the current minister for Health, has said that "if they touch him (Papandreou) there will be a bloodbath". Well, i do not even know what to say to such an idiotic statement. I think he lives in his fairyland and is not aware that no one gives a crap about Papandreou (or him).

I hope the judges find the end of this. :(

Greek -> English google translate is horrible.

Could you give more information about the accusations, please? I'm not sure how Papandreou would've benefitted from such a course of action. How much did the debt get inflated according to the article?

Considering that his then minister of finance (not Venizelos) was an old clerk of Goldman Sachs, and now the chief statistics officer a member of the IMf it is beginning to become very clear that he and a select few others gained billions from the collapse of the country in the markets.

I might translate a few parts of the article, which is a continuation of the story, a representative of the higher judges reacting to the "bloodbath" quote:

"Those who, in the course of time, were in power are responsible for the current plight of the country, and those who make such characterizations (such as the bloodbath) have no place among us".

Really i do not see this resolving in any good way. The criminals who were in power must be put to justice, without the country collapsing.

Those people are bad IMFs
