Well, it mostly looks like a huge stone bunny...

I might replace the central building with another from Gondar, and use that in the following sizes.

Well, after a million tries, i managed to find a half-decent texture:

Your white version still remains nice.

Maybe it is the case to post 2-3 alternate versions for every city type.

Well i dont know anymore, but there is something about it that i dislike heavily...

It probably is mostly the centerpiece though. I will return the base texture to white, and yellow for the roofs.

At this point i am contemplating creating a different culture for the medieval african, since i want to avoid uploading something i detest & then taking it out.

Besides, there are few buildings in Gondar i could model, and they all look the same.

So, anyone has any idea as to a third important sub-saharan culture? It doesnt matter if they are primitive, i can model huts and such.

I really like this. I didn't like the white version much though. I think the centre piece is good too. I'd like to see it finished, but as you say if you dislike it that much probably best to start over with a fresh canvass.

Plus, after a million tries (which is alot), you should finish it! I like the one nick showed above the best. And you know what they say, a million times is a charm.

In fact, that graphic is one of my favs for some reason. There's a strange sense of surrealistic realism about it. The texture makes it look a bit aged (in a good way).
