Is there a difference between conviction and stubbornness?

Conviction doesn't imply a willingness to act on it. Stubbornness has the connotation of being unreasonably obstinate, i.e. conviction beyond reason.

And is there a difference between being stoic and apathetic?

Stoicism is a philosophical school... j/k

Stoic is being free from passion about something, but apathy has the added connotations of not being interested in something; one could maintain current knowledge stoically, but an apathetic person would not bother to do that.

Ah. I recommend das' Ming, British Revolution, and Eurasian War for completed TLs. I suppose my own Meade one isn't terrible either. If a straight chronology is what you want, Israelite's Age of Elisabeth is good.

conviction is moral issues and stuff where there is no concrete right/wrong. Stubbornness is not admiting you're wrong on something like math where there is a definitive right answer.

Not a real nazi at all. Just as annoying as one.

Some parts of the world might use the term grammar police, like fashion police, but its a bit derogatory so they might only use it in defence and/or with sarcasm.

Look in the phone book for "plasma services", or "Plasma donation centers". They usually have their own facility.

And actually the Red Cross won't buy from the donor, though they do sell to hospitals to recoup their operating costs.
