But we can print more money. So it gets more and more worthless all the time untill eventually we pay £10000 BILLION for bread.

Sure we can. But it really doesn't happen very often. Independent central banks have less inflation in the long run than other types of monetary arrangements.

If a performer is really keen not to have his songs performed, he won't even allow the sheet music to be sold. If you can get it arranged for a band, you'll have to find a complete twerp to sue you.

Most of the non-classical music today is incredibly easy to hear and write down. With some notable exceptions, of course (for example, progressive metal). :)

Yes, (nominative, accusative, dative, reflexive, and emphatic) but it's French so all words really just sound like the same mumbling.

Only three of those are really cases though (the first three, obviously). And even English has different personal pronouns for each of those three.

Is it true that United States is making new bills?

Do you mean printing currency or designing new? Because both are happening on a daily basis. The US currency is very heavily counterfeited, and so they are in a race to design new to make it too difficult to make an undetectable bill. And even money supply aside, money wears out and bills have a short life in circulation.

I'll take those worthless scraps of paper off your hands if you want.

I'm fine.

I read in my history AS book that the cost of living was the same in 1880 till 1900 IE)no inflation - I want that back

It's called fiat money, it's been around for a while now, get used to it.

I've had it my whole life I'm thoroughly used to it thank you very much.

Designing. I thought I read something about a radical redesign, but I have no clue what the source was.

Questions for native English speakers. What does "high" mean in "high concept" and "high elves"?
In the context of High Elves or High Priests, the High stands for highest up.

Why is it that all the women I develop an attraction towards turn out to be spoken for?
Because your sexually attracted to married women, that in principle doesn't make you a bad person its just what floats your boat;)

Continuation to Aleksey's question: What does high mean in "high noon" and "high treason"? Are these replaceable with noon and treason? (Can the word treason be used as treachery against someone else than the country/monarch?)

Because you might be in that age where most people have found that person they are intending to stay with for the rest of their lives?

add on

High treason is doing something more treasonous than just treason? Compare a foot soldier defecting/deserting (simple treason) to a person spying for the enemy government, feeding them highly sensitive and classified information that could be used to cause a lot of damage to the country (high treason).

High noon is usually used to mean "exactly 12:00", because it was used as a deadline or a time for showdown. In the popular imagination, cowboys in a shootout would draw at high noon, or a varmint might have till high noon to git outta town before the law was on his ass. It's also idiomatically used for the time or event of a climactic showdown.

High treason is treason against the State, whereas 'petty' treason is the act of killing a superior (mostly in the military). The latter category no longer exists in most states, and high treason is the only actual kind of treasonous charge that remains. "High" is often added because that's the specific name of the charge, or to add rhetorical weight to the phrase.

yeah it's an archaic way of making a superlative out of nouns in those instances.

dont confuse it with high plain which really just means it's a plain that is actually higher than the surroundings.

Thanks! :goodjob:

EDIT: And thanks to you too, Holy King, I had actually thought that too, but forgot to ask. (High Noon and High Plains Drifter, pretty obvious where these questions arose from :D)

Actually there was plenty of inflation in that time period. There was just plenty of deflation as well, so it balanced out.
