Is 1600 dollars good collateral for a 3900 dollar loan?

I'm thinking of borrowing some cash from my Dad to be able to profit quite nicely. As well as add a bit more to my regular income.

He's going to give me the money anyway come January, to pay for a car/tuition and such. So I figured I might as well try to get the money now and earn some interest on it. At the very least, we can tolerate a 33% loss, but given my record these past few weeks(compare to my record when I had a few thousand just a few years ago! Oh lord...), I think the risk is acceptable.

As a percentage the collatoral is 41.025641025641025641025641025641% I dont know if thats good or not though

Sweeping statements ahoy! I don't react well to sudden changes and I'm not very spontaneous, but I'm certainly very creative, thank you very much.

My form of creative is usually pretty surreal.

EDIT: Oops. double post. please merge.

I thought collateral usually worked best when you use something different than the item/currency you are looking to get in return.

Has anybody put a carbonated drink in the microwave. What happened. I didnt find a video online (I did find a can but I think the can was empty) and Id rather not try it myself because my mom will yell.

I'm guessing... it will boil.

Don't put metal in the microwave though.

EDIT: And whatever you do - don't put a plastic bottle in with the lid on...

Considering they give you the bag for free, would it be morally unethical to buy food at Quizno's, wait a bit, then give your friend the bag too? The bag gives you a free drink when you bring it in. But if they really wanna save the environment(which is the stated goal of the bags)...

Since the money would be from my Dad and I'm fairly good at profit margins thus far, I think it would be.

If it were me, I would require you to put up collateral equivalent to several times the value of the loan.

Never. :p

Usually yes because you don't have the cash on you but you need to put up something the lender can re-possess if you default.

In this case, I'm merely cushioning any loss with my own funds, so it's not quite the same as the usual collateral.

One time in the microwave a plate broke on me. There was a small crack in it and apparently it didnt like the microwaves.

This is what Ive got:
The album hasn't ??? turntable for the best part of the last week.
If forced to pick the best tracks I'd go for "Rockin' Around (With You)," "Anything That's Rock 'N' Roll" and "Strangered In The Night."

Can anybody make out the word I couldnt, or at least take a guess?

I can't make out the first part, but "Rockin' Around (With Pou???"

That's a P, not a Y.

Are we allowed to discuss illicit drug use on this forum? I ask because I know of other gaming forums where you can't.

I think so, you have to be careful though, and not advocate doing illegal things.

Is that because the radar is on drugs?

I'll get my coat.
