Is Tabernak basically the Quebecois equivalent of fukc?

ex. If you're really mad, you'd say "Tabernak!" like in English you'd say "fukc!" ??

TabernaC and thats how i've heard it used.

Sacre Bleu is like Sith!
Tabernac is like f.c.u.k. (not the store)

though as not being quebecois, maybe they know i am canadian not canadien, and do so to reinforce stereotypes as a secret plan of some sort or another

You swore!

oh the thing i forgot to mention : tabernac cannot be used personally. you cannot say "tabernac-toi!" for that, you would use baiser. (note: baiser without a direct object means to kiss. with a direct object, it means to screw or to f***). so baise-toi is f-u. tabernac is like the japanese "zakenayo" in that it is simply an exclamatory remark.

Know the ZZ Top album/song Rhythmeen? What is Rhythmeen exactly? I think it's some drug, based on the lyrics, but the album cover makes it look like something else. Also, it's a kick-ass album/song, worth checking out.

Wron-ger. Hard g. Wrong-est. Hard g. Don't know why you'd think otherwise.

Because outside of, say, New York, ng is pronounced /ŋ/, not /ŋg/; name me a place that would pronounce Long Island as "Lawn Guyland" outside of New York.

Well that's stupid, that's why I don't listen to foreigners. :old:

You gotta update your sig, dude. It's decided!

If I make minimum wage do I have to pay tax in the US?

For state income tax, it varies.

You start paying tax on the first dollar you make, but you will more than likely receive that back in a refund in the next year.

Speaking of which, my question not worth it's own thread: Who does Lucy support for Prez?

Between the two big dogs? Come on, that's an easy one.

I has a question too. What are some examples of English words that have recently shifted in their most-accepted spellings? Example, if nite were to become regarded as more "correct" than night. By recently I mean specifically within the past century or so, but generally since widespread literacy.

You'd be surprised. I mean I don't hear your opinion on Foreign Policy or the Economy or anything. The only stances of yours I know are on Gay Marriage and Abortion, and walkable towns!

 I'm pro-guns and pro-drugs too!

I prefer B'rack overwhelmingly over old man. No contest at all. I promised B'rack my vote in November when I tried to give Hill-dog my vote in March, anyway. He's far, far, far from my ideal, but I'd much rather have him than old man with four more years.

Hmm, I'm unsure. I always thought that taxes started around $16,000. However, I just checked the booklet for 2007 and the tax table starts at $1. Somewhere in the rules it must say something about the minimum amount you need to earn in a year for paying income tax.

Even if I'm a student? And if the job is on campus?
