Starts in a few days. It might be good, given it has a few known actors (mostly the pair from Rome, Caesar and Brutus, also in GoT).

Period setting also is nice, and frosty :)

So this is just a fictionalized horror version of the Franklin Expedition? :coffee:

What do you mean "just"? I, for one, am intrigued.:)
I say "just" because the story of the expedition itself is intriguing, without the silly trappings of a horror movie.

The Franklin Expedition is one of the aspects of Canadian history that has intrigued historians and archaeologists for well over 150 years. Our former Prime Minister, Stephen Harper, was obsessed with finding the lost ships.

And after they were found, Canada and Great Britain got into a legal fight over which country gets to claim the artifacts.

Wikipedia said:
Franklin's lost expedition was a British voyage of Arctic exploration led by Captain Sir John Franklin that departed England in 1845 aboard two ships, HMS Erebus and HMS Terror. A Royal Navy officer and experienced explorer, Franklin had served on three previous Arctic expeditions, the later two as commanding officer. His fourth and last, undertaken when he was 59, was meant to traverse the last unnavigated section of the Northwest Passage. After a few early fatalities, the two ships became icebound in Victoria Strait near King William Island in the Canadian Arctic. The entire expedition, 129 men including Franklin, was lost.[2]
They became icebound in waters that can be a challenge for modern polar icebreakers. This expedition didn't have a chance.

I saw a 10 second ad while watching some amc where you just see the silhouette of the ship from under the ice and hear a bunch of screaming. Anyway it looks cool, I wonder if it's a mini series kind of thing. I will check it out on demand after it airs.

Btw, check out another amc show mcmafia while you're at it. It's very good.

Since it's based on a historical event, it's a given how the overall plot ends up.
