I read elsewhere folks commenting about this subject that China is having trouble with their rockets and that they overhype their "meagre" achievements and promises in their social media. SpaceX might be having trouble as well but it's getting work done.China will win the race this time. They are motivated and will spend the money.

However low the probability of finding a technosignature the observations have a greater expected impact on our lives than any number of weird galaxy's from the early universe or whatever else the telescopes would be looking at if not this.Therefore he must be extraterrestrial.
