The very first time on this site.

I can't find my first posts. I have too many posts to bother digging through all my posts to find it.

How did you do that?

Search -> "Search posts by [your name]" -> from the bottom left select results in ASCENDING order.
Don't forget to make the search return posts, not threads, or you'll get the first thread you posted in and you'll have to search for the post manually.

Click the first result. That's it. :p

Keeping up with Techs

Is it worth buying techs at an extortionate gpt or a high lump some? Won't this just hold you back in the early stages coz the AI never gives you much gold for it?

My First Thread on CFC
Spoiler n00b Me :
Hi,
Started this thread for those people who get incredibly frustrated when certain things happen on the game. Obviously I'm not complaining that they have nor am I campaigning to have them removed, I'm just hoping there are others out there who feel my pain when:

1. Some other Civ builds that wonder 2 turns before you and you have to settle for building a civil defence instead.

2. Some AI starts a city in the middle of your empire in what looks like the worst place ever, until you realise later in the game that the desert has saltpeter, the hills have iron and the jungle has rubber

Feel free to add what drives you crackers!!!

My First OT Post :shake:
Spoiler n00b Me :
I don't know if America is particularily bad at Religon. I'm not sure as an athiest that I'm qualified to comment. What I would say is that I find it strange that one of the most scientifically advanced nations in the world still finds a place for God.

I always assumed that 'God did it' was used as an explanation for things that science at the time could not explain.

However, I did find it worrying that the justification for Britain going to war in Iraq was whether it was legal to do so (which it wasn't) whilst America was pondering this:

If there is a God, I doubt he would be upset whether you went to war or not.

I also read once that in a poll of the Greatest Americans of all time Jesus Christ came joint 25th with Bill Clinton. If that isn't bad at religon I don't know what is. (However, I did read this in an English newspaper which means that it is highly unlikely to be true!)
Yes I was rather Anti-American, I’ll make my own way to Gitmo
My First OT Thread
Hardly setting the world alight

MY first post I messed up the text (didn't know that multiple spaces would be swallowed), and killed the thread.
I'd still like to see a map with the "History of the World" look.

My first thread was asking for help with transparencies, which is kinda ironic (see last link in sig).

i remember playing "Marla singer's world map" on civ 3, (even civ2?) and then the first few times i came to OT and saw you posting I was like OMG I can't believe I just talked to THE Marla singer :run:
For me at that time it sounded as big as Bill Gates or Sid Meyer :)

 I thought I was the only one...

Here is my first real post. I think that post was rather profound.

Here is my first real thread which you should read if you want to learn an obscure wonder building strategy for CivIII (and see a debate about cheating).

My very first post was accusing Hakan Ericsson of being a European socialist. Oh how right I was. however I did lurk a little bit before that.

Hah! I think the same thing with her and Bamspeedy. If Sir Pleb posted in this thread there's a good possibility I'd faint.

Well it seems my first post was a thread. TLC didn't welcome me but Jonathan did.
