So the Pacific is not widening either?

Europe and the Americas get farther apart while Asia and the Americas get closer together, so no the Pacific is not widening it is shrinking.*

*I mean in a very general, rough sense. The coastlines change much more due to erosion effects and river sedimentary effects every day that has a bigger effect than the ocean floor shrinking. However, the weathering/build-up of the coastlines is random and quickly (geologically speaking) reversible. The plates moving apart or together is slow, steady and immutable over all but the longest time scales.

No, I found it, it was John XII:

"Then, rising up, the cardinal priest Peter testified that he himself had seen John XII celebrate Mass without taking communion. John, bishop of Narni, and John, a cardinal deacon, professed that they themselves saw that a deacon had been ordained in a horse stable, but were unsure of the time. Benedict, cardinal deacon, with other co-deacons and priests, said they knew that he had been paid for ordaining bishops, specifically that he had ordained a ten-year-old bishop in the city of Todi... They testified about his adultery, which they did not see with their own eyes, but nonetheless knew with certainty: he had fornicated with the widow of Rainier, with Stephana his father's concubine, with the widow Anna, and with his own niece, and he made the sacred palace into a whorehouse. They said that he had gone hunting publicly; that he had blinded his confessor Benedict, and thereafter Benedict had died; that he had killed John, cardinal subdeacon, after castrating him; and that he had set fires, girded on a sword, and put on a helmet and cuirass. All, clerics as well as laymen, declared that he had toasted to the devil with wine. They said when playing at dice, he invoked Jupiter, Venus and other demons. They even said he did not celebrate Matins at the canonical hours nor did he make the sign of the cross."

"what improvement could be looked for if one who was leading an immoral life, who was bellicose and perjured, and who was devoted to hunting, hawking, gaming, and wine, were to be elected to the Apostolic See?"[32]

"John XII was worthy of being the rival of Elagabalus... a robber, a murderer, and incestuous person, unworthy to represent Christ upon the pontifical throne... This abominable priest soiled the chair of St. Peter for nine entire years and deserved to be called the most wicked of popes."[33]

Yeah, it was probably all hysterical smearing of him by his enemies, but still.

Where are the worst ghetto areas in the US? Detroit?
I wanna look at in Google maps and street view, so area/city names would be cool!

I've heard New Jersey is a total dump; try that. Yes, the entire state.

Detroit (would have improved but got hammered by the crisis and this emergency manager BS), Baltimore (though strong improvement to be fair), Newark (moderate improvement), Camden (in the pits, disbanded its police force, got taken over by the county), Irvington (meh), Flint (I actually don't know anything about this place) and other post-industrial towns/cities.

If you're looking for streets with burned out cars and abandoned ruined buildings then probably Detroit, Newark and Camden are probably the one's you want to touch yourself to.

Thanks, Ace!

Don't forget East St. Louis!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/East_St._Louis,_Illinois

East St. Louis has the highest crime rate in the United States...

...The city, now small in terms of population, has drastic urban blight. Sections of "urban prairie" can be found where vacant buildings have been torn down and whole blocks have become overgrown with vegetation.

That too. I need to translate game of thrones to some of my friends when I watch it with them.

Whats the key specification to look out for when your shopping for headphones? The key spec being sound quality.

Please say that isn't true...If you can understand, why can't they? Khalessi?

I guess the one off line can be forgiven, I seem to get through Mad Men/prison break/Suits/Homeland/The Walking Dead fine though ;)
I need to rewind a bit of The Wire though :)

Did you not just answer your own question?

Nope, because they all describe themselves as having the superior sound quality.
I'm wondering if a sound engineer or somebody with a bit of experiance with these matters can point me to something which objectively demonstrates a good sound quality.
