Should I be glad that I was completely ignorant of them until I opened this thread a few minutes ago?

One or two songs are a bit similar, but somehow it's not exactly what I'm looking for .

Just to make sure... are you looking for parody artists or artists similar to what's being parodied in your link?

Also Ylvis. By name, I don't think I'd ever heard any of them mentioned. So my question still stands:

Depends on your taste.

Artists similar to what's being parodied, so you got it already right with your last post :).

My right central incisor (they're the 'buckteeth') is about a millimeter longer than my left. I've always found it very annoying and finally got around to scheduling a tooth shaping to shorten it. My understanding is that tooth shaping is usually done to fix chipped edges and can produce temporary sensitivity. But, my mother just had a conversation with a dentist where he claimed that this procedure could make me extra sensitive for the rest of my life.

I am unable to find any information on this online. Can someone corroborate it?

Yeah, you don't remove any damned tooth, or parts thereof, that you have a choice about not removing. Screw the cosmetics, you aren't an actor.

Don't have any surgical or other medical procedure ever unelss it's medically necessary. It's not the same as dyeing your hair, Mouthwash.

Stop! In the name of love, don't touch that tooth.

It isn't cosmetic! It feels awkward in my mouth.

Are any of you familiar with the procedure or are you just giving me a general warning about altering my body?

Save $$$ - find a mate who will do it for you!

Embrace it, it is part of you :)

And perhaps... just feel a bit more like a Neanderthaler.... and it will fit better.

If it feels wrong, and it bothers you, then do it.
If you think it just should not be like that...then maybe try to accept it.

On the point: I think this might depend on how much is removed.
Obviously, within the tooth, there are nerves, arteries, tissue, etc. If you remove too much, you might get too close to the nerves, which might lead to sensitivity.
I do not know if it's possible to see if this is the case on an x-ray.

I'm also not a dentist or in any way educated in this area, I am just guessing.
I've had chipped edges, and did not notice anything at that time :dunno:.

Unless it actually makes you feel pain or bite wrongly or it is, as I said, medically necessary for any other reason, then don't do it.

Why? People can literally alter the shape of their noses out of vanity but I can't take off some enamel?

In both cases, having the capability to do it does not mean that you necessarily should.

If you lived a lifestyle which involved having your nose booped several times a day, every day, you would likely be unenthusiastic about the opportunity of increasing the sensitivity of your nose based on a purely cosmetic desire.

You use your teeth every single day. When you lose them, you lose them. The weaker they are, the easier it is to damage them further. I doubt you would be happy with your decision to shave off the bottom of your tooth if it resulted in lifelong sensitivity each and every single time you bite down on something. All for a millimeter.
