I have no doubt the Skyrim Starship Firmware Port, set to be released in 2078, will be among that year's best-received titles.
All starship functions will be voice controlled and activated via the correct shout.

Mac & Cheese wouldn't be out of place at one, it'd be right at home. But the traditional food of American barbecues is smoked meat. Various denominations of meat smoking adherents abound.

The way I heard it described made it sound like macaroni and cheese is more important than the meat. They also did say that macaroni and cheese is the staple food of the United States.

How would you even cook macaroni and cheese on a grill? It'd fall down inside the slots.

I guess you could put it inside a container and put the container on top of the grill, but that seems silly.

Sounds like it was probably satire

Macaroni and Cheese became popular during the Great Depression, when for a modest cost it could mix up 4 servings in a box. It's not hard to find and it is both available as comfort food and as cheap calories a la dairy ramen.

I don't know that I would go so far as to call it the staple. Depending on where you are, you can find almost no cheese, or absurd amounts of cheese, in the

I don't know. They have mentioned several times that macaroni and cheese is one of their favourite foods.
Student food. In my thesis acknowledgements, I gave due credit to Spag Bol, another poor student staple down here.

I don't think I'd call macaroni and cheese a barbecue staple ... usually for sides I see things like potato salad, macaroni salad, corn on the cob, baked beans, etc. Macaroni and cheese feels more to me like a "pot luck staple", you almost always see someone bring one. And real elbow noodles with cheese can be absolutely delightful, not that stuff from instant Kraft .. yuck!

And then dust them lightly with cheese from an aerosol can.

I use tin, cause the heating makes fumes which allow me to imagine more food being there.
I suspect that the closer one gets to the zenith of such imaginary food quantities, the closer looms death. In the end perhaps a scythe becomes visible behind the whirling spaghetti which forms branches as thick as boas...
Anyway - that's the closest I got to feeling as one with my surroundings.

instant Kraft

The microwave bowls are questionable, but the full box mix with some hot dogs cut up in them? PB&J level comfort for the non-existent food budget. The milk makes it too runny, but salt the boiling water and do add the butter, and it's solid. Still not pot luck food. If you're broke for the potluck, then you bring cookies. People with the funding for the meal should generally bring the cheesy sides/meat. Least I always figured. There's always exceptions. If anyone has a German grandma, she's on macaroni salad, no questions asked.
