Finnish is my mother tongue. In addition I speak English, Swedish and German.

I've been to:

Finland: Helsinki (living here), Espoo, Vantaa, Tampere, Turku, Lahti, Jyväskylä etc. (basically every 'major city' except Oulu plus a whole bunch of smaller ones)

Spain: Madrid, Barcelona, València, Seville, Málaga, Córdoba, Vigo, A Coruña, Granada, Elche (plus a whole bunch of smaller ones)

Sweden: Stockholm (lived there for a year), Malmö, Karlstad

Germany: Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt am Main

I have only ever lived in the Boston area. As for other countries, I've been to London, Portsmouth, and Canterbury; and Paris and Chartres. I speak English and somewhat French (from classes). I always fail at learning languages on my own though.

I speak English and some caveman gringo Spanish; just enough to hold a basic conversation.

For anyone else who needs to look that up, Tigrinya is a semitic language spoken by the Tigrinya and Tigray people in Eritrea (6.7 million speakers in total). So now we have a very good idea of Yared's ethnicity.

Well the major cities I've been to are:

I speak English, A few words in Spanish.. (hello, goodbye Etc..)
And I've been learning French Since 7th Grade (Going Into 10th in September)

I live less than an hour from Cape. I wouldn't consider it a major city, but you did make the OP so I simply followed your lead.

I've been to St. Louis (MO), Cape Girardeau (MO), JL City (JL), Santa Claus (IN), and Fort Lauderdale (FL).

I can speak English, German, and Spanish, but my Spanish is terrible. I'm also learning Finnish.

What about you?

I've been to Warsaw, Prague, Milan, Krakow, Gdansk, Wroclaw, Frankfurt, Dortmund, Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, Quebec City, New York, Las Vegas, Chicago, Lansing, Washington DC, Santiago de Chile, Valparaiso (Chile), and Ushuaia Argentina (shouldn't really count, but I'm putting it down anyway)

I speak English, Polish, and German, in that order of fluentness. I know some basic Spanish words (beer, chicken, bathroom, cash register, etc.), but not really enough to call myself a novice even..

The only time I've ever really been out of the states is on a school trip to the Stratford festival in Ontario. As for languages, it's currently just English, but I'll be taking Ancient Greek next year.

Fluent languages: English, Finnish, Russian.
Studied Swedish for 5 years but failed miserably...
Also studied a bit of Italian and liked it, was doing well but couldn't find the time for further lessons so it was cut short.

I can speak English, German, and Spanish, but my Spanish is terrible. I'm also learning Finnish.

Why are you learning Finnish?

You've been in Novgorod? How was it? Studied history of the area, but never had a possibility to visit though want to very much.
