Ok, I admit it's a bit small but I've just scanned it from my magnetic pass. And that would be one of the few times you'll see me wearing a tie. I don't look pleased because the day when this photo was taken, there was a tube strike in London...

Fruitfly - it doesn't work if you just put the address on your machine inside the image tags!

You need to upload those images up to a web site first and put that address in the image tags.

Thanks Blitz - Viking eh? - I take that as a great compliment!

OK what you need to do is upload your images to a publicly accessible web site. If your Internet Service Provider lets you have web space, that's the obvious first choice. Otherwise get an account from a free web space provider.

Upload the images to the site using FTP or whatever the provider has given you as a tool. Aim to make the images less than 30k each (because of loading time). Medium quality jpg is best although some web space providers don't allow links to their sites for images other than gifs

When your files are uploaded, check you can see them on that site (not your local machine) on your browser. Then cut and paste that address(es) into a post inside IMG /IMG tags (that's IMG and /IMG in square brackets). Click the EDIT icon on this post to see how I do my signature and you'll get the idea.

FruitFly you need to find a place that allows you to post pics for ppl to see. www.angelfire.com allows you to post .gifs not .jpgs.

Thanks Stormerne - we Anglo-Saxons must stick together! Creating a web page is going to take me some time. My picture should come on here in a day or two (or maybe a week), depending on whether I can free up internet time or not.

But you don't need to create a whole web page Blitz. You can just upload the image files and link to them from here, although - as fruitfly found out - some providers like WorldOnLine (now Tiscali) don't allow you to link to images from other than your own web page. Mine - Demon - fortunately does.
