and while on a roll , here he is again . Though if he is a 19 year old university student at the time , how does he have combat experience of 3 years or more against the Vietnamese , some of it in 1985 ?

Here is a better version of what actually happened. So I guess you approve of the military crackdown and murder of hundreds. Yes, he was praised by the US and world press. You perhaps, should keep in mind that many millions of Chinese also, after 34 years, still remember his act of defiance. The link below has a section on him and what might have happened to him.

the thread has been started with removal from things from up above . While the one below was the last answer in thread .
ı have no position on Tiananmen . Will have no position on the 2030 or whatever war you will have with China . Will have no comment on the commander of US Military transport planes ordering his troops to become proficient in small arms so that they can execute traitor Americans a la Argentinians in the Dirty War or whatever years .
what ı have is a guest membership in a weird Turkish language forum where some old guy who claims the Tank Man later escorted them to the airport . Even American journalists are saying the tanks (at least that day and that neighbourhood) did not fire on the civilians and it is only natural for the tank commander to become disoriented after being told on the "net" that he should order to load the guns with "anti-tank" rounds to engage the APCs under a different set of commanders . Who were later demoted .

tank Man , one heroic guy who stands up to a tank where hundreds have been killed . Lost , never heard off again . Was assuming your point of contention would have been that that he was taken away which would prove he couldn't have been anything but a brave Chinese civilian . am pretty sure this is the exact Tank Man spot , with the bus in the frame and all . Resistance and stuff invariably involve people who think far too much of themselves . Some amounts of unhinged folks who would be rather better if locked up in some institution . And those who have the heart and the courage and the readiness for necessary sacrifice . All deaths in the end are a waste , some arguably more than others . Had those people in that particular moment in time not misjudged things , they could have been alive , and certainly more influential in improving things in China . But then there were already those who encouraged others to wear yellow or something like that , reportedly the Taiwanese colour or something . When the pressure was just about right and maybe , just maybe Beijing would re-evaluate its enduring alliance with America and would go for a balanced growth . Instead of becoming a forced labour camp for American and select Western countries , destroying local production stuff across the world , easing the global domination of the Wall Street . for the former, sometimes rebellions are won with blood, sometimes they aren't. most are, though (and yes, most bloody rebellions fail).
for the latter, i'd like to say that i agree the west is much more realpolitical than it makes itself out to be, so your drawing of the lines there are something i appreciate; but that does not mean china or russia are something you can defend,
and further than that: nor does it mean "New CFC" is in any way meaningful. it's not like we're tankies, but the "so i'm apparently a communist now" thing you say is not the main appeal the posters here go by, neither is it really the appeal of the moderation team in general. we aren't jingoistic in the sense that you're the great Other if you defend china, and then are therefore both communist and fascist at the same time or whatever, that's more of a right wing thing in the west, and the forum very much leans left.
