even if it causes civil war? and please no more mention of killingThe question was not about what is possible. The question is about moral oughts. And monarchy ought to be abolished in any form in which it exists, by whatever means necessary.
History question: do you think the English Civil War was, ultimately, in the long run, good or bad for our nation's governance?even if it causes civil war? and please no more mention of killing
I hate to break it to you, but England is doing a good enough job of making Scotland want to be independent as it is. This isn't the argument in favour of the Royal Family you think it isIf Britain goes republic... I doubt Scotland would want to be part of UK anymore.
That's Australia. What about Britain?Just need an 8.5% national swing compared to the 1999 referendum in order to get Western Australia over the line as a 4th "yes" state. Only 5% off a national majority, but referenda require a majority yes in 4 of the 6 states we well.

yeah no. I would rather not see Britain to be in worse place than it is now thanks.Civil war comes after Charles.
Also, Scotland already doesn't want to be part of the Uk. I doubt the existence of the monarchy is what keeps it in.
last time I heard the referendum for Scottish independence failed.I hate to break it to you, but England is doing a good enough job of making Scotland want to be independent as it is
They don't get a vote in our referendaThat's Australia. What about Britain?
even if it causes civil war? and please no more mention of killing
yeah sure...Yes, absolutely. It is a moral stain which must be destroyed. That it still exists and is earnestly defended today is a sad reflection of the sorry, unfree, backwards state of the world in which we presently live.
Does The Monarchy Benefit The UK's Economy?
MONARCHY

Nov 23, 2017
A new report from business valuation consultancy Brand Finance has found that the British royal family is worth £67.5 billion. Even though assets such as the Crown Jewels and Buckingham Palace are worth at least £25.5 billion, much of the monarchy's revenue comes from its brand. Annually, it has an impact on the UK's economy to the tune of £1.8 billion. That includes a £550 million contribution to tourism, a £329 million crown estate surplus and a £150 million contribution to trade.
