1) Bavaria will cede to the Norse Empire, in addition to the territories already held by the Empire, the west bank of the Elbe, including the city of Prague, and the territories north of the Main.

2) Bavaria will regain control over those Bavarian territories currently held by Lothringen. In exchange, Bavaria will pay one EP a turn to the Norse Empire, for the next five turns.

3) Bavaria will agree to become a vassal state of the Norse Empire.

4) Bavaria will immediately withdraw from the Catholic League.

5) Bavaria will immediately declare war on the Kingdom of Poland

6) Bavaria will formally apologize for its subjugation of the German states and the betrayal of its alliance with the Norse Empire.

7) Bavaria and Westphalia will reduce their tariffs on goods from Norse, Aquitainian and Lothringian markets.

8) Westphalia will agree to become a vassal state of the Norse Empire.

The Byzantine Empire wishes to make known the following agreement between the Muwahhidan Empire of Egypt and itself.

THE TREATY OF JERUSALEM​

The Muwahhidan Empire of Egypt, and the Byzantine Empire agree to the following in the interests of creating a peace between their two nations and in the interest of ending the current war fought amongst them:

I. The Muwahhidan Empire of Egypt shall relinquish to the Byzantine Empire the control of the lands of Palestine which are under the occupation of Byzantine forces. This includes the region of Jerusalem and the Holy land. The Byzantine Empire, in exchange, shall garuntee the freedom of worship for the citizens of the region, aswell as safe passage for all religious pilgrims.

II. The Byzantine Empire shall pay the Muwahhidan Empire of Egypt a compensation of 1,000,000 Hyperpyrons.

III. The Muwahhidan Empire and the Byzantine Empire shall agree to a prisoner exchange, whereby all prisoners of war currently held shall be returned to their home nations.

IV. The Byzantine Empire and the Muwahhidan Empire, to ensure a lasting peace, will sign 5 year pacts of Non-Aggression with one another, aswell as agree to agreements of trade. Furthermore, the two empires shall agree to an area of 25 miles on either side of their border to be demilitarized.

Thlayli: did you get my PM from this morning? If so, could you respond, please?

Also, Harleqin and Shortguy why did you not tell me you were signing peace? I would have followed suit had I known. Is there a reason for this?? I just am trying to make sense of all of this. How long had you been planning to betray me?

I believe that Perfectionist proposed the trilateral peace first, and, as it did (was supposed to?) include a trilateral MPP, I was treaty bound to attack you sooner or later. I figured it would be best for my troops and our success if I did so while you were occupied elsewhere.

As to why, I can only speak for myself and say that I was concerned by both your rising power and your stated desire for my richest lands. I knew we'd come into conflict sooner or later over them, and I wanted it to be on my terms. Additionally, with Sweden's collapse, I wasn't even sure that the 3 of us could hold off the Norse successfully, and if any of us fell I would have been the first.

That's probably more candid than I ought to be while the game is still in progress, but since you asked...

OOC: Or a 12th century German emperor, depending on how you count. But that is in our timeline. Things are apparently different in this timeline. At the top of the spotlight for the second update, there is a mention of Lothair II as king of Greater Lothringen, which is a recent creation. I based my assumption on that.

Actually, my original proposal included Bavaria as well. Bavaria rejected it out of hand, but Lothringen and Aquitaine didn't. Things went from there.
