Hey could someone tell me the best civs for going to war in mp games and what kind of tech tree path i need to go down.

So far I've just been doing the normal deity kind of strategy where you get 5-6 CB's with 4 city tradition and then go mass science with education , scientific theory , labs etc but i want to have more of an impact on the game and possibly conquer everyone and stop the other warmongering players from gaining a huge empire.

If you dont have a clue for civ u maybe dont have a clue how to do aswell?!!!

watch my duels videos to get a clue how to do it.

Top civs are obviously france, rome, persia, celts (if u still want a religion) and huns (if not banned)

Forget about rome, france or persia. Mongolians and Huns are the best dominations factions. nobody can stand against them. btw, if you play on sea map Ottomans have no equal.

Mongols, Huns, Arabia (Camel Archers are amazing and can take several hits in MP plus their traits are amazing), England (Longbows can mow down anything and Ship of the Lines devastate the Ocean - plus dual spies make for great tech stealing strats in MP), China [Cho-Ko-Nuhs can be GG in Multiplayer], Inca [Free hills movement makes for great tactical advantages if you are a smart tactician], Byzantines [On a water map Dromons can be ridiculous in MP, although somewhat of a limited window], Carthage [More gold/production for units can get you snowballing, plus the mountain movement and say Pyramids can give you instant roads across mountains to blitzkrieg] - and then pretty much any science civ, as science promotes everything

Thanks guys i will give some of those factions a go, any advice on the kind of tech path needed for warmongering?

My first guess would be something like construction and iron working > education > dynamite > scientific theory > flight > plastics or should i get NC and education up first then rush artillery before going back to science focus?

There's lots of in depth tech guides about science victories and culture but i haven't been able to find much information about domination and keeping a good balance between tech and military.

One last thing, a wide empire with liberty is the best for this style of play right?

It depends from every civ UUs you want to take great advantage of.
For example:
Mongols - rush to wheel (build up CAs), then to libraries (and NC), then to Chivalry. Upgrade CAs and horsemen into keshiks.
Huns - rush to wheel (build horse archers), then to bronze working. A very early rush and timing is crutial for the huns. Try to upgrade your initial warrior through the goody hut.
Arabia - nearly the same tech order as for Mongolia

Babylon can be also a great choice for the warmonger.

Early Iron working is useful only for some warmonger civs like Russia, Rome or Japan. Pikes can efficiently replace swords in the role of citytakers and meatshield.

It depends. Sometimes your civ may need turtle up and develop 3-4 large Tradition cities with considerable production capacity before beginning the steamroll.
