US DD sunk by Jap Sub near San Diego. Fighter destroyed in Hilo. (BTW, I bombard Hilo with at least 1 ship every turn. If an air unit gets damaged, I smack the city with enough firepower to kill any air unit based there. You may want to stop basing units there because I'll kill them every single time).
Commonwealth transports (2) sunk SW of Boela. The landing force consisting of 3 Anzacs, 1 flak and an artillery destroyed next to Boela. No Japanese losses (but no promotions again either).
A nice collection of (3) Commonwealth torpedo bombers and a fighter are sitting in New Guinea. They are in range of some juicy targets, if you can find them.
The Dutch airforce has been permanently grounded (along with some substantial city destruction).

Sunk 1 transport north of Boela. My pilots wanted more booze and were on strike so we did not sink anything else. A CA was slightly damaged though.

That transport was empty. (Actually all of them were).
Lost a bomber over Australia. Bombed some more rail lines in Australia. Quite the rail network LouLong has setup.....
Defeated a Dutch infantry in the VP location on New Guinea. Landed an army and some infantry to make the Commonwealth base on New Guinea a lot less safe. Lost an elite light tank trying to attack the Anzac infantry in New Guinea. A little too aggressive on my part.....

Actually, they are back down to 1, but I give you full marks for creativity. My DD discovered a PT boat in the middle of the Pacfic, and where there is one....
Needless to say, there are no Chinese PT boats anywhere near any land based air, naval air or naval search units.
The last Dutch stronghold is still there, but has a few less troops. Australia has a few less roads.
No losses (but units damaged) this turn.

Actually, the more I think about it, the more clever it was (to move PT boats northward). Assuming my little accident hadn't tripped over one, they could have gotten very close to my naval detachments, giving away their positions.
Now that the US Navy is on the move (somewhere), that could be a very fatal mistake. I'm just hoping to make it through the game with all my carriers intact. (18 turns to go.....)

The Japanese want Papua ? Fine.
But the jungle is deceitful.
Rumors spread an NI army was annihilated by jungle fever ( the real one, not the stupid fashionable one !). Of course our tank crews are also good in jungles...
Japan seems to want a new coral reef near Tenate. Sure thing the harbor is getting more and more difficult to enter as a new transport was sunk nearly in the same area.

Better there than on Australian soil anyway. You have killed so many innocent kangoroos during your bombing raids that if you land kangaroos will start boxing your little soldiers.

My turn to fight back. Dutch Capitol of Koepang falls. Units damaged by no losses. Commonwealth force near airbase on New Guinea wiped out (3 Anzacs and 1 medium tank). No losses. Bombed a few more roads in Australia
Commonwealth sub sunk near Tenate. Dutch sub near Koepang damaged. Sank the annoying Commonwealth transport in Port Moresby (which obviously transported the tank that killed my army).
The real prize however was the discovery of the US fleet (all of it I think). A DD discovered a screen of DDs, backed by CAs, and finally the main surface fleet. A MASSIVE aerial assault followed. Japanese loses were 3 zeros and 1 dive bomber. US losses included 2 Wildcats shot down attempting interceptions, 4 DDs and 2 CAs. (I attacked with my elite air units first to dogfight your fighters, that seemed to work as 2 of my first three attacks killed your interceptors. My torpedo bombers didn't exchange until after your aircover was defeated).
It should be a lot harder for you to find any of my subs for the next little while....
