Hi fellows,
I have trouble concerning the early management of a Babylonian empire, and I'd like you to share your thoughs.
First of all, english is not my native language so please be tolerant...
Second, I'm a noob. A lurking noob, but a noob.
I've been playing I think every civ opus since the first, in easy or normal difficulty, and it's the first time I want to improve my game. Previously I was playing solo, and recently I've been starting to play with a friend over the net. Right now, in solo games, I'm winning constently at king, most of the time at emperor.
I've been only using until BNW China, but with the early wars being more difficult, and the warmonger bashing, I switched for Shoshones. This civ seemed a bit to overpowered for our MP games, so I switched once again, for Babylone.
I have trouble getting high science input at T200, most of the time it is around 3 or 400, where I used to reach at least 600 using the Shoshones.
In the beginning, I beeline writing, then more or less education for the univeristy, and I'm using all scientist slots. Education come late, around T125, and NC around T100. I think that there lies my problem : unability to get fast NC then fast education.
I don't really know when to expand (2 or 3 towns most of time before getting NC), when to go for NC first then expand (pretty situationnal I think).
I still haven't try the 3 cities trad start, using trade routes to feed my 2 expos, but I will soon. The problem is that the build order doesn't seem to be compatible with the best use of Babylone's early scientist.
Anyway, does any of you have some general guidelines for this civilization and this last patch (found a nice post for NC first, but not for BNW) ?
Thanks for you help.

. Maybe it has something to do with the "e" at the end of Babylon? Damned, I googled it, but found nothing. Maybe I am at the dawn of the discovery of some strange culinar speciality : enlight me
