There's a clause based on Kamala Harris's specific circumstances in the birthright EO.

It is the policy of the United States that no department or agency of the United States government shall issue documents recognizing United States citizenship, or accept documents issued by State, local, or other governments or authorities purporting to recognize United States citizenship, to persons: (1) when that person’s mother was unlawfully present in the United States and the person’s father was not a United States citizen or lawful permanent resident at the time of said person’s birth, or (2) when that person’s mother’s presence in the United States was lawful but temporary, and the person’s father was not a United States citizen or lawful permanent resident at the time of said person’s birth.

I have autism and I'm not an adept public speaker, yet I have never made repeated suspicious arm movements like those. Then again, I've never tried to cosy up to far-right types, so my mileage clearly differs.

There is no reason for anyone to be charitable to Musk. He wears his beliefs and politics on his sleeve. Is he a Hitler Nazis? No, Hitler is dead and gone. His stated fascist politics have been updated for the age of social media, but he is no different in what he wants as an outcome than his SS predecessors: personal power, influence, money, and enforcement of his politics on others.

Words have meaning. Here you state that you can just change the label to fit whatever you’d like it to be in order to slander your political opponents. Sorry, that’s wrong, morally repugnant, and I can’t endorse it.

Musk had all the opportunity in the world to say something along the line of "I hate all nazis, if you're a nazi I hate you, this wasn't a nazi salute sorry for the weird gesture". He didn't. The "weird gesture" defense would have becomes lightly more believable then.
It was a nazi salute. End of story.

Wow, you really going all out to bat for the Husk, aren't you? I notably didn't say that he made a Nazi salute, just that autism is no excuse for cosying up to the far-right (which is unarguably a matter of record for Musk), and yet you claim that makes me uncharitable.
