[TSL] Yet (not) Another Earth Maps Pack

how, speaking of Mt Sinai, anyone to make a list of the new NW and position while I'm away ?

Spain's UA doubles the Pantheon to +8. I'm pretty sure it calculates the double bonus last. If i'm right about when it calculates the bonus then Mt. Sinai is +8 to faith plus you have the bonus +4 from the pantheon so its +12 then doubled by the UA for +24? Anyone know if thats correct?

edit: I just tested in game and you do get +24 faith per turn from Mt. Sinai as Spain with the One with Nature pantheon.

That could be a big game-changer in-game. Is that maybe a little OP?

I don't think its a game changer in the normal game...but Spain has always arguably had an unfair advantage on this map if you know the wonders in the game and geography of where they are located. Having a civ turn 2 a +4 food +10 gold tile is too strong.

I usually don't include Spain because of this.

Now Spain (provided no one has taken the pantheon) can add +8 faith to RoG making their early game even stronger on yagem.

@Gedemon: Am having a great time with the map and G&K...thank you! :goodjob:

I experienced that issue many months ago. My only "fix" for it was to disable anti-aliasing.

Just tried this and right when I met Persia...boom: Civilization V has stopped working! This is driving me nuts! I also tried turning off the OC on my CPU and that didn't fix this either. I have the game set to autosave on every turn so that I can re-load and hope that it won't crash again. I'm running this on a 3570K, 8GB DDR3 1600, and a GTX 670...surely that setup should be able to run this game without crashes. This is on the Giant Earth, with 14 Civs, 24 CS's. Any ideas, help, suggestions?

I don't know how to fix this problem, but you can try a workaround that changes animated leader scenes to static: change
Code:
UseScreenShots = 0
to
Code:
UseScreenShots = 1
in GraphicsSettingsDX11.ini (assuming that you use DX11, not DX9).

(The .ini files are located in My Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5)

Thanks. Makes the game playable, as underwhelming as static images may be.

I'm using the 304.48 beta Nvidia drivers. I don't know for certain that's what's causing this though. I'll have to reinstall the 301.42's and see. This is on a Gigabyte GTX 670 and the Vsynch bugs in the 301.42s are well documented all over The Internets. These beta's run everything wwwwaaaayy smoother than the 301.42's. Perhaps it's a bug in thue 304.48's causing this and I'll just have to wait for a fix to get animated leaderheads back. The performance gains (night and day) are well worth it.

any chance you can do with all civilization included? 34 i think there is or it's not possible to do it?

Hey Gedemon, I found a tiny "bug." I started the game as the Mayans, and the Mayan city-state settler was sitting right next to me. Using the YnAEMP City-States mod (can't wait for the extended version - the standard version just doesn't have enough!). I know that you have it so if certain civilizations are missing, city-states take their places. Looks like something in the code just skipped over the Mayans.

Anyone else know how to temporarily fix this in the .xml files or whatever until Gedemon returns?

I'm also hoping for a separate download of this; while Steam Workshop appears to work in the Mac version, it never actually downloads or installs anything. I'm really annoyed at the continued gimpy behaviour of mods in the Mac version; they could have at least got the menus working and just noted that some mods may not work correctly, as most work okay, but as already noted installing them is a pain in the ass!

why is the limited to 22 civs?

It is a limitation of the game. Our only hope for more is if the developers release their source code to the modding community.

Cheers for the links! With the AI civs not expanding much in the latest updates, I've been looking forward to playing a proper Gods and Kings game with everyone crammed into Europe :D

Anyway, just a thought but it might be nice to have an option allowing preference to be given to Vatican City when selecting true start city states, as having only a single city state in Italy can help Rome out a bit, plus it gives them the option of using Faith in a big way early on, then just taking the Vatican later as faith becomes less useful :)

I love this map, but hate the ressource placement, can i load the map in editor and paint it myself without any problems?

thanks

Yes. If you do it that way I believe you'll have to manually place the starting locations and all resources, as those are set dynamically by the mod at the start of a new game.
