Turn chat.

How does that work, if the President is not going to be there? Does the Vice President control the game, or does no game take place and we just discuss what we're going to do?

Normally the VP would play the game, but I will probably not be able to attend either. The chain of command is in the constitution. I believe, after me comes Charis, but he usually cannot make the chats. So, on down the chain until one of the cabinet members or deputies can play. If none of the deputies can play either, the game will have to be postponed.

I will be unable to attend the turn chat tonight, as I will be moving into another apartment. This should be the last one I miss for awhile.

6:30 EST.

I have to go to bed early, so I won't be able to make it to the chat tonight... sorry!

I can't attend either :(
too busy, with homework.

And I have a class so I'm going to be late. Cya!

Turn chat was a bust once again.

Perhaps 11:30 GMT is not the best time to be holding the turn chat. I humbly suggest that if there is another time slot that allows more government officials to attend the turn chat then it should be used.

Another procedural question raised its head as we tried to breathe life into tonight's turn chat:

Does there have to be a minimum number of government offials present at the turn chat in order for the game to proceed? What if there is only one link in the CoC present?

maybe the government should look over the census data and choose a timezone apropriate for most of the government members. i noticed except for the president and one deputy military leader, all officials live in NALA, so GMT as chat-timezone is propably the worst choice... the bad thing about this will propably be that the pres will not be able to attend the chats

The current chat time is normally good for me. I can not think of another time that would allow me to make it significantly more often.

I would say that if there are at least 2 leaders or deputies at a turn chat, and one of the people there feels comfortable that they have enough information to play the turn, that they go ahead and play it. By no means are they required to play.

I disagree with this, Eyrei. There isn't any requirement for leaders or deputies to be present. There was in the original Chain of Command but the new one goes clear down to appointed officials. We could consider new legislation that states a minimum number of eligible players must be present in order to play but as it stands 1 appointed official in the chat has the authority to play the game.

The only time I could regularly attend would be 4AM EST (9:00 GMT). That's fairly inconvenient for everybody else, I believe.

i could make that shaitan.

You two have strange hours. I haven't kept hours like that since college. I would be able to make about the same number of chats as long as the start time stays between 6PM EST and 10 PM EST.
