Random Why did you have to sign a RoP with Spain?

I left the game with a RoP + War against Russia + War against Russia + 15 gpt for us deal running another 15 turns or so?

Did they make peace so fast already?

I will be forced to do the abandon capitol rule during my set. I can find no discussion about our plans how to deal with this.

I'm putting the game on hold until I get some feedback. I have no clue how to figure out where the capitol will move to, and how to prepare.

Basically its decided by population plus troops.

My Suggestions would be to produce as many settlers as possible out of Kyoto and move them into our new capitol ringing it to size 12. My suggestions would be ngata for its central position.
When the moment of truth comes, push as many horses andother untis as you can into the city and maybe remove the MP from other big cities for half a turn. If you feel unsafe you can use CAII to finally check.

Checked myself, the Alliances are still running nicely, I must have forgotten to check RoP in my deal with spain. anyway please remember that this deal will end as soon as we kill either one of England or russia costing us 15 gpt. so dont forget to adjust the slider accordingly.

Another thing I noticed. yaroslav has an immense flip probability, while containing an elite Sword on patrol duty. I think we should just empty it and build Galleys as long as we can, but dont be upset when it finally flips over to madrid.

What is CAII????

CAII = CivAssist II, a free utility program.

The idea behind a ROP was because it would take multiple naval units going through Spanish territory to deal with the Russian and English cities south of Spain.

However, Spain decided to absorb those cities into her empire which made my ROP agreement with her unnecessary.

Yes I saw already. Apparently I forgot to include one in my deal with spain. Nice to see, that my Plan with Spain taking this southern provinces worked out perfectly.

A lot of talking, but I still don't see a clear plan about what to do about the new capitol rule hitting me.

Making Nagoya the new capital would require rushing an Aquaduct there. I do agree that it's a good site. LK, if you do that and join settlers/workers there to get the city to size 10, that should do the trick.

Speaking of which, I see that Nagoya is building a regular Samurai. MrRandomGuy, please make sure you have a barracks in a city before building military there.

Ditto for Yokohama, Toyama, Ise, and Hakodate.

Why did we build Fukushima so close to Memphis? It is a provocation that could spark a war any turn now -- and we're not really ready for that war just yet (have to finish off Russia and England first!).

We should change the builds in Matsuyama and Rostov to Trebs -- that area doesn't have the production capacity to make lots of Barracks in the area worth it.

We will abandon the capitol shortly. I switch it to building settler / worker to salvage some of the population. Nagoya will be the new capitol, and I push to get that done. Invention is due in 4 turns, so I hope that will let me grab cash from the AI to rush the aqueduct in Nagoya.

I don't understand all the workers hiding in Hastings with the flip risk.

I review all cities building military, and make sure only cities with barracks are building troops. No barrack cities can build trebs, workers, or other stuff.

We badly need defenders. I find way to many elite swords trapped in city defense mode.

My best guess why the FP is being built so close the capitol is the weird abandon the capitol rule coming up.

560 AD (1)
We capture London and now control the Pyramids.
(IT) BLEH - Egypt got invention the same time we did.

580 AD (3)
We ping a Russian archer down to 1 HP, and trip our GA by having the one unit Samurai army attack. Osaka will complete the Heroic Epic in 9 turns during the
GA. Science goes off to a turn to let me rush the aqueduct in Nagoya.

590 AD (4)
Nagoya just barely gets the aqueduct rushes. A disbanded warrior was needed to push us over the edge.
(IT) We have completed the FP.

600 AD (5)
We capture Yekaterinburg. The weak Russian's are toasted. Our lover is gone and good riddance. How could we have found that one interesting...
We still have a total hissy fit, and burn our capitol to the ground. In the remains, I hated her is built.
(IT) Fukishima is abandoned via a settler build. The excessively close to Egypt city is gone.

610 AD (6)
England gets cute, and lands an archer next to an undefended city. In response I'm happy that Canterbury had just one unit. We wipe England from the map for that offense.

620 AD (7)
(IT) Spain becomes more of a pain, and completes Knights Templar. That woman gets too much free stuff...

Summary:
I'm pushing toward navigation. We need to locate that other continent.

All of those cities north of Egypt (former Russia / England) need pure irrigation. There only value is to become science farms. I want to become the tech leader at some point, and science farms all the only way to pull that off.

Red Circle is my proposed city site. It will make life easier once we go after Egypt.

The Ladies of our Life
We are too shy to talk to France, but we will listen.
Egypt is our girlfriend and we must trade techs one for one until every civ is met.
The love of our life, Russia is dead and our capital was razed in shame as a result of this woeful, alcohol induced, bad choice of erotic blindness.
Our Ex, the winter mistress of England, is now our Ex-Ex. I can't tell if this death has affected us or not.
Spain is our wife. We would like her to join us against the others. If she will.

Notes
Did we grieve properly when our Ex got the Axe? We should have given Spain all our gold and gpt. We don't have any gpt deals with Spain at the moment, so this may need to be fixed.

Now that we control the Pyramids, we can sell off our granaries.

We have 13 turns left our on Golden Age.

Plans
We need to go exploring and find that other continent. We have one galley near Yaroslavl' that can do that at the moment. Maybe Kagoshima should build Galleys and not Pikes.

We do have a galley that is able explore Egypt's island these turns.

Who is next: our Crush (France) or our Girlfriend (Egypt)? We can't talk to France due to our inate shyness, which means that if we attacked Egypt, Cleo could ask Joannie for help. Is that a big deal? Probably not.

Regardless, we need to build our military up. By heading for Navigation, we will have to rely on Samurais for a long time before we have Cavalry.

When we do expand, I would like to see us absorb Egypt and have overland communication with North Japan. Then we don't have to be as worried about keeping the Spanish harbors happy in order for Horses to stay connected (until we learn Astronomy and Navigation, anyway).

Settler 1W of Moscow heads north to London/Hastings/Yekaterinburg area.

Settler 1E of Novgorod has limited options and no nearby defensive units. It could build 1S or 2S of its current location and seal Spain off. Or even 2S-1SW and claim a Spanish Cow, already mined for us. But it needs defenders and there are none nearby. There are Pikes on Galleys that could help out, even though they are several turns away.

With Navigation comes the ablity to build Magellan's Voyage. We are 25 turns away from learning Navigation but we could start a coastal city on a Palace pre-build for it. Palace is currently 800 shields, Magellans' is only 400.

We need to clear out the marsh before we can build our city north of Edo. The three nearby workers will help finish the road next turn and then all four workers will clear the marsh for our new city and then continue to clear marshlands.

Should 'I hate her' be switched from market to library to reclaim some of our lost territory?

I dont really care who we want to go after first, both of them are excerting some unwanted cultural pressure. Although in case of Egypt this could probabaly be solved by some a shortranged war too.

Ad we should definitely Mourn our Exwife appropriately and hand all our Money over to the lawyers which Our Wife has provided us with.
