U.S. considers new moon mission

So smalltalk also believe the man never landed on the moon.
I can't believe this. It's not an insult against the USA, it's an insult against science and anyone with half a brain.

:cringe:
Oh come on, luiz. Don't think that of me. I might be a bit off the hook sometimes, but I haven't gone completly bonkers yet.

It was just a cool pic I felt worth to be posted. Maybe I should have added a comment.

Conspiration Theories can be fun - see the Illumintus-Book, but I don't indulge in them too heavily.

i would support this, but George II has driven our country into the ground to much, so i would not support something that hurts our budget even more. but it would still be cool if we could send people to mars...

Mu mum believes the moon landing was faked. I know 10 people who believe the same thing as well. Well its not really a insult to science if you dont know a lot about it. For exsample if you dont know how a car works, you can only take someones word that it aint magic running the thing.

There are just five words I want to hear, right now...

"Let us go to Mars."

Who wouldn't want to hear that? But I suppose setting up a base on the moon would be a good trial run

Sure, but it has to be said in that context.

luiz, no problem.

I guess I should learn to be more expilicit. After all, how would you know what's inside my head. Only what was written into the reply box can finally be read by you.

About the cost of moon and mars missions as compared to robot explorers:

Apollo Mission: 150 billion $
Mars Mission: 400 billion $
Mars Global Surveyer: 220 million $

Man, we could flood the solar system with about 1000 (in words: thousand) robot probes for the price of one manned mission.

Not only a good trial run. Having manufacturing facilities on the moon would be an integral part of exploring and colonising the rest of the solar system.
