I can't get the game working on this temporary computer. Maybe the restraining bolt fell off...

So for this Sunday, the Romans are yours, civ2. Be sure to complete that deal (described earlier in the thread) with Spain, and you'll do fine, probably better than me (no wonders yet!). Enjoy!

flatlander fox did NOT keep the promise & deal we originally agreed upon, instead he attacked my (by now because of this) undefended cities... naturally, i have not been pleased by this, and neither by his negative attitude... anyhow... i left this game and let a.i. take over my civ, indefinitely... as i made my civ strong enough even after this very loss of two cities, im pretty sure, it will kick the romans' (especially flatlander's) and nrk's butt... good luck all, besides of civ II and its consequences...

If I would not have played, the AI would have taken the undefended cities at the beginning of the game.

I offered you a deal, and you refused. I was only trying to help out the Civ while I was playing. Too bad you are quitting, your Civ was in good shape, and would have been o.k. (Even after the loss of the two small cities)

Sean, I tried to push north, but couldn't get Narz to let me by (To his credit ) After unsuccessfully trying to prosecute a war (You guys have bribing on, which gives Monarchies little chance against Republics anyway) things are pretty much the way you left them.

PM me for further details. I have plenty of info to relay to you about the situation.


I don't think I have a poor attitude Migonne, and I am sorry that you see it that way. Don't be unreasonable though, as the AI would have done the SAME thing to you, except they wouldn't have offered you anything for it.

not true, flatlander... if i hadnt had a deal with sean, i NEVER would have taken away my units of of these cities... simply UNFAIR and inconsiderate... also, altho i kept on asking u about our deal from the beginning, u just didnt give me a straight answer until giving me this ridiculous ultimatum... again, i consider this as foulplay... u can turn it any way u want, that is, what it is...

if the ai would have been instead of u, flatlander, i ALSO would have kept my units in those cities... NO WAY u could have conquered them... but ah well, im out of this game anyhow, so what is left to care about...

Well, this week no one showed up to play the Americans, they have a strong Civ and a pretty good position (plus Hanging Gardens). If the guy who played them previous does not show up this Sunday you can feel free to take them over. If anyone else does not show up you can take over for them also. The tourny is every Sunday at 6pm GMT (1pm EST). I'd be happy to have on board.

Hmmm... The first turn I moved the cities were empty... So the AI would have wiped them out the first turn anyway.

Sorry to have upset you, but it IS just a game. I sincerely hope you keep playing, and I won't sub again, if that will get you back into the game.

Anarchy, do you have a problem with me playing? If so, PM me and tell me why?

wrong, flatlander, my first turn came first in the game, not the romans... therefore i could have easily moved my units back

i might come back IF this game will have this general rule to agreed upon from all of us: any HUMAN subs should honor their civilizations' prior agreements with others from now on... unless when indeed taken over by A.I. of course... agreements which will be posted such as sean did (and i am sure HE would have KEPT his word)... is that cool with all of ya?

We can tell that to the subs, but I might occasionally bring in a sub who WILL NOT honor agreements, and I don't mean Flatlander Fox . But really, Mignonne, you're right.

How was the question of bribery resolved? When I last played, we had an incomplete vote, tied I believe.
