Unable to connect from game lobby

Right now I can't get to the setup screen. The game will attempt to load it forever, but nothing is happening.

I am more stumped than a log right now...I've tried turning off firewalls, cleaning out spyware, nothing. The ports have not been looked at since I know for a fact that we haven't been messing with them. Maybe some spyware messed with the ports?

What type of router? what ports are open/not open

I'm not behind any router...how do you check your ports?

Never mind, I found them. Multiplayer still won't run even after opening the ports described in the manual.

Edit: Of course, I forgot to turn XP's firewall off....

Edit: It is fixed!
