Unable to connect to online games

Installed Civ 4 gold edition last night. Everything has ran fine except for some odd reason, i'm unable to connect to online games. Whenever I try to connect it keeps attempting until it times out. I've checked my firewall and enabled all for civ 4.

I have seen this problem posted on the technical support forums but have been unable to find an answer, (been having the same problem, ((unable to connect to host)) ).
I have tried setting my laptop outside of my firewall, and for a time this worked, but then it went back to the same problem. It would attempt to connect to the host until it timed out and gave me the same error as stated above. Any help on this?
