Another difficult choice - all of them are very good! Anyway, I'll go with Aaglo because I love the death animation and I respect his overall contribution. But if Plotinus had chosen the monk with the bird attack, it's likely I'd vote for him again (...a rabbit launcher?!)
They were all great this month again guys. For me it was tight between supa and Vingrjoe. In the end I had to go with the heavy cruiser by a hair......
This was one tough month... I'm kinda glad I didn't get any units finished in time for this competition...
I was torn between Vinegar Joe's ship, LMR's Modern Inquisitor (Equillibrium scenario, anyone? ), and Plontius's friar, but I ended up going with the friar, because the attack animation is so awesome...
Well, if that happened, all the people would just re-vote for the friar again.
Otherwise, hands down, Vingrjoe would win. Or more people would just vote for the friar and make it win anyway.
Hey, if people vote for me, I don't mind what they call me! Although I do get annoyed when people misspell my real name, which happens surprisingly often. The worst I ever saw was Johnothen - not sure where to start there. My girlfriend has an extremely unusual name, though, and misspells it herself rather than try to explain.
Actually I originally tried to register with the name Origen, but that was taken. I suppose even more people would have misspelled that.
Voting is over and we have a clear winner, which happens to be our first moderator winner: Plotinus!
His is the trophy (a complete one this time ), an honorable mentioning in the Hall of Fame, Front page stardom and finally, and most desirably, the title of "Unit Maker of the Month, July 2006"...
Congratulations Plotinus with your one-and-a-halfth title!
I can assure the members that my victory was achieved purely on the basis of artistic merit, creative vision, and a financial contribution to - er - I'll come in again.
Thank you very much - I'm honestly amazed to have won this one as I think the general standard was the highest yet. In particular, I thought this was going to be a straight dual between aaglo and Supa, whose units are both really outstanding. And thanks to utahjazz7 for the vote - I always abstain from anything I'm entering, but he's raised the bar for gentlemanly behaviour!
