Another lego machine...

The model isn't quite finished, cos I need to go to bed, and I won't be able to do any more till monday probably, but here it is anyhow. I also have a load of ork foot units (about 5) sitting rendered on my PC, but my friend said he was going to write a program to save me sorting out the renders every time... but he hasn't yet.

The unfinished parts are the sides of the tracks, and I might shove some orks dotted around. Any comments about anything else would be much appriciated. Oh. I might also do something about the glass dome on the top - like make it more substantial.

51625 polygons. This is gonna take ages to render.

if red is the civcolour, then, I'd cahnge it, cause if you use the fireball postpro, your explosion will be civ specific :eek:

btw, could you send me that program when it's done? i really hate c&p'ing units into the correct folders for SBB
 
too round... needs to be more lego like... wait... forget that.

Looks great. Some crazy orks riding on the sides shooting guns could look really cool.

I haven't decided on which parts I'll have civ coloured. I'll probably go for the barrels at the back, maybe the light brownish lumps, and perhaps a bit at the front.
 
Now THATS what I'm talking about! Thriw some little orks on it; they should fire their weapons during one the atatck anims.
 
I've updated the first preview. I said I wouldn't be able to update till Monday... but... I lied.

I've added some orks, fiddled with the tracks, rasied the gun a bit, as well as changing it, added civ colouring, and done some things that nobody will ever notice.

Niiiice! That thing looks sorta like the GrossPanzer I'm working on, but with less spiky stuff. Great unit, though the preview is making me dizzy just looking at it. :crazyeye:

Seems like the Orks are coming along well enough for the WH40K mod.
 
Yes, it sure does seem that way. The Orks will be the first complete race, unit wise.

Still undecided.

I'm having a bit of trouble with the orks on the back - they keep getting in to fights...

Seriously, it's quite hard to get them to move well with the vehicle. I've been partly successful, and I think the third try of the attack animation might look ok. The fourth might even look good... :eek:

I might have a go at units from other races soon, though I haven't decided on quite what. As well as this one I have the settler, worker and scout for the orks all in the works.
