Ancient/Medieval/Early Ind...what I have is Steph's conversions and one that's a modified Mounted Warrior, but it shoots while strafing sideways...kinda cool, forgot who made it though. So anything other than those.
 
I know most of these are foot, but, to be thorough:

Varkasal made a few: cavalry, infantry & rifleman of antique quality but they're there; Kinboat made a spearsman & swordsman, also a Warrior, Archer, & Brave; Sword of Geddon = a grenadier & a swordsman; Recon1591 a warrior; matteo773 an archer; utahjazz7 made a Brave; and Kinboat an Iroquois Brave and Archer; I'm using one of Sandris' mounted spear units for a hypothetical Anasazi; Vuldacon a number of static city UNITS; LabMonkey ditto a Brave (NB: a suspect some of the Braves are dupes whose author I've mistaken); plus I presume you have all Sandris' magnificent creations. plus (I hate to be a tease) I THINK there's another mounted rifleman with feathered headdress around here somewhere - say the word & I'll keep searching ...

PS - Plus (I hesitate) there's the ?-infamous-? Medieval American Infantry.

Probably the best/closest you'll find are Haida from Steph's Fight back collection library. 3 units top of p2 (btw, previes still work - just click & wait).

I hope someone has the desire to make a couple of these as I think they would be great flavor units. If not I'll probably go with your suggestion of the Haida units.

Maybe Sandris who did those amazing Native Americans will think about it.;)

In case someone would like to try I would suggest including two figures instead on one (M-Unit) just to add a bit of diversification in the mob…

I too would love more units like this. This Hooligan/Thug unit by RM80 is what I plan to use in one of my mods as an unarmed militant worker unit.

Are you going for historical accuracy? If so, remember that the amercan indians did not have horses until they were brought over by the Europeans and no firearms of any great numbers until around the 1700's. During the french and indian wars, the indians still did not have any cavalry type units ( as late as 1765 ) The western indian tribes had very few firearms and often none as late as 1865. I would use them sparingly and put a high unit cost on them so that the AI doesn't producing them in abundance. You might even consider using them as a UU for each civ.
