Unit Request Thread 3

Were any of the Battlestar Galactica units ever made, the Raptor is the one I would be interested in, I can seem to find one in the units library.

BG units known to me :

BSG - Galactica
Cylon BaseStar
BSG - Cylon Raider
BSG - Golden Centurion
BSG - Silver Centurion

...but no Raptor.

btw ,all names given should be `searchable`.
Good luck to your project. :)

No, I did mean Raptor.

'Deep One', as in Lovecraftian Deep Ones?

Can some make this unit for me. I need it to be civ specific colored.
The unit description follows below the image. Preferrably I would like to have the jacket color match the civ color.

Company infantry are professional soldiers drawn exclusively from Europeans, both officers and other ranks. They are members of private armies for the traders, but one that is available to further national needs when required. They fight using European doctrine and equipment as line infantrymen, carrying smoothbore, muzzle-loading muskets. These soldiers are also enforcers, tax gatherers and a potent threat against the local princes in India, even away the battlefield. Native regiments under European officers exist too, but their reliability is doubtful.

Historically, the great European trading companies were often closer to being nations in their own right than business ventures. India was so wealthy that the companies needed armies, not just guards, to protect and expand their interests and prestige. The British East India Company (the “John Company”), the Dutch “Vereenigde Oostindische Compagnie” (VOC) and the French “La Compagnie française des Indes orientales” all had their own armed forces; 1 in 5 VOC employees were soldiers!

I'm wondering if something alike the Hjortspring and Nydam boats was ever made?

The Hjortspring boat was a small, very light and fast, but not very big boat from the Baltic Sea ~300BC that was paddled, not rowed. It was not very ocean-going (or even sea-going), but ideal for the southwestern Baltic.
And the ship type was apparently already known in the Bronze Age, so it could work as an early boat for a North European/Baltic/Scandinavian civ. The sail only came into use in that area in the Migration Period.

Which leads me to my second request, the Nydam boat - or Nydam ship, to distinguish it from some smaller boats also found in the Nydam bog.
In a nutshell, it was a longboat without a mast and sail, and was rowed.
This one was ocean-going, and some sort of it was probably used by the Anglo-Saxons when migrating to England.

I'll give you a few pictures, if someone volunteers to make the units, I can give you more.

That isn't BSG. That is just a sad attempt at a remake.

Now before anyone thinks otherwise, I have no problem if anyone enjoys this version.
Please just state which version you're referring to to prevent mix ups in future.

This is what we call continuing a conversation a month after it has ended.

Also, still, TF2 dudes.
