Unit Request Thread

Wondering if anyone would be able to make a model for the Royal Tromeak (Khmer Mahout).

A slightly modified Indian War Elephant would work (just adding the umbrella).

If anyone could make/find/point me in the direction of a Cruzob/Chan Santa Cruz/Mayan rifleman or musketman unit that at least vaguely looks like this gentleman here, I'd be very thankful.

Would anybody be willing to provide unitart for my American Longrifle unit? I imagine it'd be possible to modify the French Musketeer by removing the feather and tabard?

*snip* Can I request a conversion of the Buddhist monk from civ4 (to use missionary animations) aswell!

:bump: Anybody able to do this?

For those who aren't familiar with my work, I mostly focus on Native American and Polynesian units. I'm in the process of creating an original Chimu unit set. I'm also starting a project to convert some Southeast Asian Units. I have a lot of units on my plate as it is, so I'll only add units that align with my interests.

Maybe so, what's it for?

I'd be willing to :) It's just a straight conversion, right?

Ok, there are two ways to go about what I would like...a simple way, only 3 units...or a advanced way (More strategic in game) ~6 units...Simply put, I want to transport military units from point A - B. For each method of travel. Land/Air/Sea. I'd like the units to have the same ability that Caravans and Cargo Ships have where they can pass borders and through other civs lands without angering them, unless they get within X tiles of a city (unless Allied), or until the military units Disembark.

Pretty much, I want Carriers for Land and Air whilst making an additional Carrier for Sea travel that can hold land units...

Simple Method:
Max capacity at 5 for Troop units like Marines, Infantry, Archers, ect. 3 for other units like Tanks, Artillery, ect. And possibly Bombs (Not Launchable, merely for long distance transport)

Advanced Method: (Preferred)
Have 2 versions of each unit where one can only transport Troops and the other can only transport Mech.

Capacity will vary depending on Era, Travel Method, and Transport Type...

For example. The Lockheed C-5 Galaxy would be used to transport Land Vehicles and quite possibly bombs, whilst the C-17 Globemaster would be a Troop transporter for Information Era Transport via Air.

Capacity Values are just suggestions...

Final Air Units:
Lockheed C-5 Galaxy (Mech) 3 Capacity
C-17 Globemaster (Troops) 6 Capacity

Final Sea Unit:
MV Cape Knox style ship (Mech) 15 Capacity
SS United States style ship (Troops) 30 Capacity

Final Land Unit:
MZKT-74135 Tank Transporter (Mech) 2 Capacity
Boeing CH-47 Chinook (Troop) 4 Capacity

If anyone is up for this challenge, shoot me a PM. I can supply help with the codding (Lua/XML) side of things. I've already begun that portion already.

I'm gonna make a strange but simple request. For my planned mod, I'm gonna make a dummy ice floe, as I previously mentioned here.

Could someone possibly help me to just create a model of a blue squat hexagonal plate? Just a block of ice, really :)

as well as the Buddhist missionary conversion can I also request that the navy SEAL from civ 4 is also converted, to use the marine animations (or what ever works best)

I have already done a similar unit here which is basically the navy seal with a different rifle and it uses paratrooper animations.

I wonder if someone could convert this 3 Renaissance two-handed swordsman unit model which I made in Civ4 form. Using Civ5 longswordsman anim.
1st,http://forums.civfanatics.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=22974
2nd,http://forums.civfanatics.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=22981
3rd,http://forums.civfanatics.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=22980

If don't have time to convert all of the 3, just convert the 1st one(hat version).

Can any one do this please? just convert the first one. I have tried to convert it by myself, I have already converted it to a .BR2 filw, but it seems that the NexusBuddy2.0 dosen't work on my computer:( so I can't continue the progress.

----------------

Not needed anymore, I converted it by myself!:)

This is not a request for creating a unit, since I am relatively handy at doing that; I am requesting a decent Dwarf template. Most of the Civ IV dwarf units are just humans converted to a dwarf appearance. What I need is a good-looking dwarf model from which to create a dwarf series. If anyone knows where I can get decent source art for a dwarf series, please let me know. I need to know where I can get the actual files, not just a pointer to a game. The better the dwarf base unit, the better units I can create :).

Thanks!

Here are some download links for Civ4 Dwarves that don't look like reskinned humans IMO:
