And a Wallach Swordsman to match this image....

I'm not particularly happy with just reusing the shield from the halberd. Would a heater shield be more appropriate?

I think a heater shield would look great on him. It would fit him better in my opinion. :)

I think 'fantastic' might just be the proper term - the horseman especially! :)

Does this death pass for the horseman? If he's to look as if he's wearing a long coat, the actuality of the wide pants figure will become clear with my previous fall-off-the-horse death.

And how about these (adjustments to the kilt and surcoat aren't yet finished) adaptations of CamJH's halberdier?

Halberdier is great (btw, Utah released his chainmail texture if you wanna give it a shot).

Something bothers me about the horseman`s death. And horse`s too. It looks as they are "taking a dive", faking it. Try turning the horse`s head and the rider`s upper body away from the direction they are falling, like when you are riding a motorcycle slowly and you are taking a turn, you lean the bike towards the ground, but you keep your body pulling in the other direction.

The rider and the horse do not want to fall at the moment they are killed, and its hard to kill a horseman with such force that he would go down flat on his face.

Some (trust me, these are sadly the best I could find, I went over 100 Google pages of Pictures Results) reference pics
    Spoiler :

I'd suggest making the guy's upper body bounce a little when it hits the ground, to give the impression of quite a loud "thud"!
