Unit requests thread

Hey everyone. I am working on this module for my mod and I can't get these units to work, well not all of them but most of them. I am posting these here in hopes that someone can get them to work properly. They are supposed to be Assyrian flavored units for my mod. They are for the Ancient/Classical and Medieval eras. Mechaerik said he'd help, but I'm just posting this in case anyone else is interested. If there is any chance you can do this for me (and since you are doing so you can take full credit and even edit them as you deem fit) that would be awesome and I would be in your debt.

And while I'm here, I'd like to request a few dinosaur units. Like, four or five different kinds.

Fall From Heaven's dragon model could serve as a base for bipedal genera like Tyrannosaurs and Raptors, and the War Elephant could be used for quadrupeds like Stegosaurus and Triceratops. Perhaps a Pterodactyl could be built on the Hawk model.
 
Could anyone just create a simple object like a backpack withs skis an poles, so I can add it to the unit by myself? I am not able in working with blender, there are always errors...:blush:

Look at the Dragonia II Mod ;).
Also StrategyOnly has made a dinosaur civ.
I'm sure i've seen a Triceratops.

Only the Archer, Axeman, Horseman, and Spearman need editing, but i touched up the Swordsman, by finally fixing the headband. The axeman might take awhile because of the damn f-ing headband. Positioning that thing is a [female dog]!
 
I would like to request that someone makes some dinosaur units. Maybe someone could upload that one from the Charlemagne Demo instead of me having to download 600mb of information. I don't know why they put that in something free but don't include it for people who pay for the game. Any dinosaur units are appreciated.
 
In adition to my request for the soldiers with skies, is there anywere a construction machine, contrete-mixer-car, a crane, a bulldoozer or an excavator?
 
not that easy, i know. idea maybe: ONLY ranged attack (range 1), 0 normal attack.

the question is: will the AI build it then?
 
Hey, I again am having some trouble with a set of units I made. But this is not that complicated. This is a Phoenician flavor set. As with most of the units I've made (well all really) they are just simple headswaps and reskins. Three of the industrial era units' teamcolor doesn't show up though (Cannon, Grenadier and Cavalry). Note in the screenshot I provided that the Rifleman's teamcolor does show up. I don't really know how to fix this at all so if someone can help me out that'd be awesome. Here is the rar if you want these units since I won't post them alone (they are part of a module pack) and a screenshot too.

And I guess some feedback would be nice too (as far as anything goes, I am not sure how historically accurate these units are).
 
Yeah there is Hiram of Tyre. That's the only one I know of though. Hopefully someone can take a look at these and improve them where necessary. I am normally an LH maker so units aren't really my area of expertise.
 
The Capo: I looked at your cavalry and grenadier, and it seems that yuou have the wrong shader turned on. With the only the base map as the texture (thats how you have these two units set up) you need to turn the shader to TCiv4Skinning (this is only for non metallic units)instead of the one your using. That will make it anFX version. If you were wanting a non shader as well, you will have to turn your base texture as teamcolor.bmp then your normal texture as detail map.

When dealing with the textures/shading I use sceneviewer alot. If you have the wrong shader or texture it is readily apparent or the model will break apart or appear all black ( as was the case with these units).
